    New school "toy"hybrid build

Well some bad news really...One of the motors werent seated all the way down in the holder and while i was pressing down fairly hard to seat the prop, the back of the motor cap pushed out..I tried to straighten the tabs so i could get the cap back in and only warped the case so, now i have a bad...

    New school "toy"hybrid build

I used wire ties for now but i plan to use rubber bands to hold the wires on the arms..I just need to insulate the board from the carbon fiber and im going to use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser foam pad (cut to size) to help eliminate any vibrations as well. So, how much does it weigh compared to...

    Keeping the forum pure.

The quads keep us young on the inside..The aging cream is for those worried about what people think of them on the outside. I just went backwards in age on the inside as im going to pick up some goodies from the post office...Be back soon:p By the way im 47 but ,i look at it as im 23 and a...

    KK2.1.5 settings

Yea..it would be a small micro..as small as i can go where that board would fill in the center and not look too big.

    KK2.1.5 settings

When i decide to graduate to a more hobby grade build, i was considering the KK 2.1.5 mini..Is this the same board just in a smaller size? or are there other differences? I will surely need help with this one.

    JJRC 1000A

A little more about the radio. The sticks feel pretty nice actually for a cheap radio..Overall you can tell its cheap but it does its job quite well...I dont notice any dead spots in the throttle and it shows the real time percentage of input from both sticks..The jjrc likes to hover steadily...

    Official "Toy" Hybrid thread.

Thought i would start a thread for members to showcase there custom toy hybrid builds as todays "toy" quads sure offer alot more than yesterday and, some very nice quads can be built mixing and matching parts from different models. So ,if you have them, show them off here and, let the world see...

    JJRC 1000A

Ill look into that..Thanks. Man, this jjrc1000 is like a bee on steroids..I tried 100 percent rate and the pitch is insane on it, giving it ALOT of speed. It weighs .2g less than the hubsan and will flat out smoke the hubsan in a drag race..haha. It fights wind very easily also..i dont think...

    JJRC 1000A

I wont be selling anything..hahaha. That was my list of quads to purchase as they all seem to be the more popular models. I need to ad the x6058 but they are sold out everywhere but the more expensive places to buy it. I do have semi sad news...i broke the body shell on my hubsan from landing...

    JJRC H5P Quadcopter

The H5P is really a great quad...The problem is parts are very hard to find for them and make them not so great. The SYMA X5C-1 however is a very popular model and parts are everywhere for them. With those extended flight times from the larger 1100mah battery on the jjrc, the motors dont tend...

    Syma X5C-1 mods

Hahaha...cant wait to see it. Let me know what you find out with the props..I did find some interesting info that the motor holder assemblies from the FY326 can be made to fit and these use larger 8.5mm motors...Reports though are that the extra weight and amp draw really kills battery life and...

    Old school "toy" hybrid build.

I got around to switching out the motor holders but still have to re route the wiring and get everything soldered up before i can do a test flight. What a mess with the motor wires..sigh. Looking like a boss.

    out of range syma x5sc

Destroyed Phantom: Rebuild with new parts?

Like RG said, i suggested just getting a stock motor becuase those motors you have look larger and if you use something that draws more amps than the stock ESC's can handle you will just burn them out. Prop size will also determine the amount of amps a motor might draw...More lift equals more...
