You will find these toy quads quite fun and addicting...they are cheap to repair and alot of fun to fly when you have your big boys down with programming problems or cant spend$150.00 to repair it from a minor crash. The biggest issue with the toy quads are motor life..Sometimes one can burn...

I think drilling the body would hurt you..mostly aerodynamics and air entering slowing you down....i would wait till you do the board change first..you might even think its too fast...lol

    Help with Syma x8c

Usually the left front is clockwise..right front counter clockwise. Left rear counter clockwise and right rear clockwise. Some like the hubsan are opposite of that but not owning the x8c i couldnt tell you how its supposed to be. Certainly does sound like the props are in the wrong places though.

I would just cut the syma motor wires mid way or so and and re solder to the wires already on the jjrc board...if you cut them staggered you dont even need to use heat shrink or anything if you dont want to.

By the way you will get 100m plus range with the x6 radio and jjrc board..so no radio mod is needed either. The antenna on the x6 is fake but the range is far better than the x5c transmitter and board....i suppose you could do the mod to the x6 but you would be so far out you couldnt see it...

Actually..the jjrc comes apart in one piece..you dont have to cut anything to take it all out as a whole...if anything you may have to add some wire to the motors due to the larger size but thats easy..cut the wire between board and motor and add a piece...no soldering to the board at all..You...

.futaba is its own and spektrum is dsm/dsm2...neither will bind to toy quads except maybe the blade nQX which is dsm2...The bayang x9 is the clone but is certainly not dsm compatible.

Absolutely zero voodo..solder your wires and bind and fly. Turn on quad first...then radio then a quick up and back down with the throttle and its bound...To reset board gyro calibration you put the radio in 100 percent rate and pull both sticks lower left and done.

One thing im seeing with the devo is people are adding on to them to fly numerous protocols with one radio. You essentially build on it to fly whatever protocol you want...you could could fly the syma and your hobby quads with the same radio and never need another one again...At least thats how...

The devo 7e is like a 50 60 dollar radio...the 10 is quite a bit more expensive....if you can get it for 25 id get it anyway..hahaha
  12. Mike H.

    JJRC 1000A

To be honest im not sure but, i dont see why you couldnt..As long as its got deviation programming..Its not a bind and fly deal...the protocol for the syma has to be programmed in with the proper module.

Will propeller guard for any/all Hubsan H107 fit a H108?

I broke an arm on my new 107L in 2 days and i was crashing in grass..The bodies are pretty cheesy on them. Turned mine into a hybrid but having some issues with motors i didnt expect..haha.

Even though the x6 radio is just rate select...at 60% it would be more pitch than the x5c at 100 percent and this of course will increase speed. At 100 percent the pitch is so much you would think you could do a manual flip but cant..hahaha...its almost straight up and down on 100 percent..its...

Will propeller guard for any/all Hubsan H107 fit a H108?

No problem..let us know how it turns out.

Alot are using the Devo 7e TX which wakes up the x5c as you can program in more pitch, yaw etc... Or for a lesser expensive way to wake it up just slap a jjrc 1000 board in it and get a tarantula x6 radio and be done with it. The factory radio doesnt do the stock board any justice...It doesnt...

Will propeller guard for any/all Hubsan H107 fit a H108?

I cant say for sure if they can or cannot...I can tell you the 107L uses a 7mm motor so if the diameter of the holes to slip onto the body, it may not fit as the 107C and D both use larger 8.5mm motors...I would imagine the 108 would use the larger motors as well. I suppose the guard is cheap...

Just flew the jjrc with the mini pet and the hubsan props..The mini pet props are a bit longer but its creating amazing lift and makes it a little more stable...It shoots straight up like a rocket..hahaha. With the hubsan props which are shorter than the jjrc, it buzzes a bit more but they also...

    New school "toy"hybrid build

Nope..Mr Hubsan still gets the spot..haha. Ive only got 3 quads (soon 4) and, no spare anything just yet...I could rob my first project but, dont really want to do that. Well, 7mm motors was the plan here to keep weight down but still have good power and decent flight times...8.5mm would add...
