WTF Happened Here With My DJI Phantom 3

I enjoyed the videos myself...I think you did the right thing by not trying to fly back not knowing where you were...You couldnt tell if you would lose altitude or get blown off course and surely lose the quad. Im not a huge fan of wifi as its not all that reliable as you found out in a scary...

    JJRC H8D constant red LED?

It sounds like you arent properly binding the radio to the quad. 1.)Turn on the quad first and place it down on a level surface. 2.) Next, turn on your radio and you should hear a series of beeps and /or a series of flashing lights..Some models you have to move the throttle stick all the way up...

Lishi Toys L6039 Rotor Blade Query

One not spinning as free can be a number of possible culprits. 1.) Debris around the motor shaft (hair, string etc....) 2.) Dirty gears. 3.) Bad motor pinion 4.) Bad Rotor gear or possible out of round prop shaft 5.) Sticky or possibly defective motor (it happens even if new) Which one it is...

    Nihui U807 modifications thread.

No doubt....Many toy models can benefit from using a hobby grade TX...Not sure why one would need a range mod with 150m or so of range already but ,a better tx in general probably would increase that...You can make the range 2 miles if you wanted modding almost any TX....An older DJI phantom...

    SYMA X5C-1 coming soon.

As far a beginner model i have to agree...Its not very fast or sporty compared to alot of other models which is what makes it a great starter quad...Because of it popularity youll find a ton of parts support and some customization parts and even some upgrades to make it better as one grows along...

Yea, it hasnt seemed to be a problem as far as breaking or not but, ALL gears wear out and polymer gears will last a heck of alot longer than cheap plastic will...Just piece of mind for me personally. I bought 50 pieces of the polymer gears..No waiting 30 days or longer from china if i ever do...

    Syma X1-R build

The v929, 949, 959 all used a smaller built in battery area...they dont screw on or off like the others. I need to use batteries like this to work in the stock holders. http://www.motionrc.com/e-flite-500mah-1s-3-7v-25c-lipo-battery/?gclid=CJLYofyzjssCFQgaaQodwqgMgQ

They pinions ride sort of high but it does have full teeth coverage..just from the lower portion up.....Either cutting them down till center or trimming off all excess and then centering them like a stock pinion would work.

    Syma X1-R build

So here is my start on the X1-R project....First i want to talk about the X1 in general. The X1 from SYMA is much like the X5C now from syma...it was the most popular along side of WL Toys models and a household name in toy quads...You could find videos of people attaching 808 cameras back when...

I suppose i could do that to ...Ill probably end up just cutting off the excess plastic though...make them like the stock pinions.

Wow..that was good deal...Ive caught two flash sales from them..A hubsan X4 L for $19.99 rtf and the syma x5c-1 with camera RTF for $40.99...All i see them offering now in usa warehouse as far as x8 models is the x8w which im not interested in and they want $80 plus for that model...Tomtop has...

    Nihui U807 modifications thread.

Did a maiden flight inside the house with the U807..quite a nice and stable quad in low rates....Ill test it outdoors another day...The battery gets a bit warm..not sure if the new pinions are touching the motor cases or not but i plan to trim 1mm off the extensions just in case thats the...

Syma X8C (white) on the list next.

The Syma X8C is close to being ordered..Ive been on a spending spree if some couldnt tell..hahaha....Considering they were around $109.00 not long ago and can now be had for $85.00 shipped from the USA ,i may as well consider one. Ive seen alot of the stock 2mp camera videos and to me the...

    Nihui U807 modifications thread.

I got those MMW pinion gears in and they do fit the U807...One thing however you need to be aware of is the new pinions have an extension to them that the stock gears dont have so, be careful not to push the gear down so tight that it creates friction with the top of motor case. MMW Polymer...

    Old School Syma X1 build.

Both of the x1 quads were delivered today but not exactly what i expecting...I got the UFO canopy model as i wanted but i was sent the Hero RC version of the spacecraft model...I really wanted the red and white spaceship model...But here is where i guess i shouldnt complain...Both models came...

    Old School Syma X1 build.

Some parts have showed up today but ,not the x1 quads just yet...I have two X1 FCB's and an original set of 7mm syma motors with 9T pinions which is basically all i need to finish the assembly of one quad minus original 350mah battery and TX which i will not be using or need. The FCB'S syma...

    Syma X5C-1 Modifications thread

STAGE 2 MODS: (Battery choices, gears and, range extension) 1.)Batteries are somewhat of a hit and miss...You will find many claims of Mah and C ratings which in all honesty, most are a bunch of bull crap with false claims and slick looking wrappers as a marketing strategy....One popular name...
