I ha e an fpv set up planned tha You either have signal or you dont....i just dont get having a signal you can use for 1 mile down the road when you fly 100m away from you..I never understood it as the more Mw you have the clearer the picture within x amount of range unless you use that...

Well, here we go with some modifications for the quad...Ive been looking it over quite thoroughly and deciding what all i plan to do to the quad..This thread will be more of an "as i go along" type thing so i will be constantly updating and sharing my findings that i find beneficial to the quad...

Im having some problems sourcing some things i need to do what i wanted..haha. I can find them but everything is sold in bulk and way more than i wanted to spend to do the one thing i was wanting to do...Im really tempted to do it anyways...hahaha, Sigh. I dont think id have a problem selling...

10mw, 25mw, 200mw, 600mw....etc...... If you have a quad that has a 100m range then a 600mw fpv is way over kill..Determine the power you need based on the range of your quad is what i go by...you will typically run out of quad range before you will fpv range unless you have a long range...

Great quad, just way way over priced...You can find them without the cheap camera for $40.00. Its an upgrade with larger 8mm motors instead of the 7mm the 2 versions had before it...other than that its the same quad.

You need to look up the "Re-calibration" procedure for that model.

Joy!...i have the u807 in my posession....I just pulled a motor shaft out and can confirm they are not steel but ,maybe an aluminum alloy...A magnet would not stick to the shaft. Ill be starting my build thread on this tonight or tomorrow.

There's quite a few inexpensive quads i would own over and over again. I dont personally consider a toy quad something you throw away because a motor burns out or a flight board goes bad...Brushless motors and much more expensive quads in general have the same problems although maybe not as...

My U807 is here but ,it figures both PO clerks are at lunch so, i have to go back in 30 minutes to get the U807...You would think they would alternate lunch so the PO doesnt have to be closed for an hour. o_O The 3x6x3 bearings i ordered are here also.

Tracking shows my U807 is on its last stop before it moves on to my town...Hopefully today or tomorrow i should have it. :)

Sad to say but it seems alot of models that get sent out for reviews as a new release can get great reviews and then over a short period of time there after alot get models with problems...Its my thoughts that x amount of models get sent out with top notch Quality control and work almost...

After any crash at all its always good to re calibrate the quad....its not uncommon to find a motor that wouldnt spin before will spin after a re calibration...If you re calibrate and it still wont spin then i would check the motor using a cheap 1.5v alkaline battery...if it works then its...

Im not aware of any quadcopter thats a toy or hobby grade that will fly longer than it takes to charge the battery.
