Considering im getting the x5c-1 i went ahead and ordered a few of those MMW pinions to have...if they work on the Nihui ill let you guys know...if anything im hoping they make the mesh quieter plus the better durability to boot.

Im not sure 7mm (syma x5c) and 8mm (or 8.5mm) motors share the same motor shaft diameter..this is also what im looking into...It is the proper 11T however...if it will fit the motor shafts it will certainly be on the list of upgrades...i think those are for 1mm shafts like a 7mm motor uses.

So i ordered my x5c-1 and transmotter from banggood usa warehouse...the quad showed 4 in stock..and more for the transmitter...They accept payment..they begin to process and in mid progress show everything is on back order. WTF?....im in it for $36.00 now they show a complete rtf with a camera...

Get the syma first to learn on...its not so bad to replace a $3.00 part compared to a $30.00 part when you crash just right to break something. I have an X5C-1 coming myself...Watch for a thread on it ..I plan to do alot of mods to it as well as maybe that syma fpv kit. Off to work i go for...

By the way the Syma fpv kit uses Boscam frequencies.;)

Its not all that bad....youll have to learn to fix/mod your quad rather its a hobby grade or a toy grade...Soldering skills more so for toy quads and alot of programming skills and soldering skills for the hobby grades. If you need any help with the quad or fpv set up just ask.. a great bunch...

I forgot to mention alot are buying the 808#16 D lens ($11.00) and attaching it to the camera for a much better FOV (field of view)..I beleive its 120 degree...Not a simple task but, a worthy one.

Indeed alot of nice fpv cameras and receiver kits...Too bad a decent monitor costs an arm and a leg...then you need a battery to power the monitor and have to buy a separate receiver and rca cables.

You wont be able to record without a slight mod...The TX has no video record function. ..its more of a just see on the screen as you fly but, you can record if you want. The camera has a black and a yellow wire coming out of it...If you short the yellow and black wires for 3 seconds the camera...

To get an introduction into fpv ,the Syma FPV kit for $51.00 including monitor isnt really all that bad....you are pushing the limits of flight with the kit as its a bit heavy but many fly with that kit on the x5c successfully and it is a plug and play kit for x5c camera boards....There are ways...

@RENOV8R, I havent pulled out a motor to measure one just yet..i really dont plan on it unless a motor goes bad. Based on some other reading they are 8.5x20mm but thats a number people use for even 8x20mm sets so, im not 100 percent sure. @Jackson, ...Those are the pinions i was looking at...
