I listed the wrong motors..my bad.......The V636 motors...The motors from the WL toys Latrax clone.

Great motors, just way way over priced...Most are using the WL toys V969 motors as upgrades at a much better price...Reported more lifting power and speed to go with it.

Those are 8x16mm motors..maybe slightly more torque but far from the 8.5x20mm the others are using....I suppose they figured with a much larger 1100mah battery they needed the added torque.

You could call it the MAIN difference......What this could possibly mean is not having to constantly make throttle adjustments to maintain or at least attempt to maintain a steady height...It should be interesting to see how it handles up and down drafts. Im really hoping they went with larger...

It will be interesting to see how the "Altitude hold" works and how they implemented the feature....The body is that of the X5S and X5W model which is essentially a miniature X8 body....Its quite possible some added programming updates...Protocol has yet to be determined and i wouldnt put it...

There were some early version x8 transmitters that could control an X5 but not sure why anyone would want to fly an x8 with an x5 transmitter..Its a downgrade in that the x5 has much less range.

When batteries are connected in parallel you maintain the same voltage but increase the Mah...So if you had 2 500mah batteries in parallel you still have 3.7v but a mah of 1000mah.. x5 batteries and you have 2500mah but still only 3.7v...So you would want to set your amperage to charge all 5 at...

Was time to pull the trigger on the x8c so i did so not 2 minutes before this typing. As with most any model i end up with ill do an X8 thread to show my personal findings and possible upgrades with the model. The X8C will also be the base for my entry into the FPV world.

There is a fail safe where if you lose TX signal it just shuts down and drops out of the sky so ,i doubt it just kept flying away...Im sure it fell in a tree someplace and didnt just keep flying away until it lost power. Try a 1.2ghz fpv system..it penetrates trees and walls and you wont lose...

Typical 7 and 8mm motors are 7x20, 8x20 or 8.5x20

If you dont have the tools to solder with you can forget about doing alot of things in the hobby..Soldering is a must for modification and repairs which you will need to make eventually...The term "SOL" pretty much sums it up in your case if you dont care to invest in what you need to make...
