    Syma X5C-1 Modifications thread

(Continuation of Stage 1 mods.) Still feel its maybe a little heavy?...You can fly without the battery door attached with no problems if you wanted and ,did you all know the screws alone used to attach the 2 halves of the body weigh in at a whopping 1.6g? I decided to use as minimal amount of...

    Syma X8G Mods?

Are you having jello issues or not happy with the camera it came with?

    x5c1

Original syma motors are actually considered of good quality...The only considered "high quality" motors built are Chaoli motors but, they are very expensive for brushed motors...When SYMA came out with the X1 a while back it was rumored that they sourced motors through Chaoli...Not 100 percent...

Lishi Toys L6039 Rotor Blade Query

One of the motor assemblies is slightly tighter than the other 3 on my x5c-1....Just fly it and enjoy it...Its inevitable that you will lose a motor at some point. Dont be afraid to void any warranty or whatever on these toy quads..If you sent one back every time you had an issue you would be...

    Syma X5C-1 Modifications thread

While i wait for parts i figured i would play with the camera a bit and to be honest the camera is not that bad for what it is...I made some rubber stand offs to raise the camera angle and to maybe help with some vibration and im pretty happy with the results..I have ZERO jello effect and with...

If they are 7mm motors and were used on a quad with gears they should work as long as the gears on them are 9 tooth.

There really is no upgrade motors you can take advantage of using the stock transmitter. If youre wanting an upgrade thinking the motor set might last longer then thats not going to happen. Replacement motors are as good as any...they are 7mm with 9 tooth pinions attached..AVOID motors with...

    how are holy stone quads?

I ordered my U807 from the banggood usa warehouse $38.00 with no camera and had it within 7 days. The u807 is a great quad but expect like any toy quad to burn up motors, to need a gear replaced, to one day need to replace the flight board and props etc.... If you want something to easily...

    how are holy stone quads?

The X1 is too much quad with your little experience. ALL quads have motor issues with the toy grade...They are mass produced and most all only have a 5hr life span if youre lucky to get a good one. The X5C you are returning was one of the best possible choices for you to continue learning...

    Suitable charger

The plug makes no difference and you can have the same plug on a 3s battery if thats what plug the manufacturer chose for it. As long as you use the 2s battery mode for charging the 2s and, 1s mode for charging 1s you will be fine. The board should be in parallel charging configuration which...

    Suitable charger

1s = 1 cell...2S = 2 cells....3s = 3 cells etc......... Do yourself a favor and Invest in the Imax b6 or something similar to charge you batteries with..You can buy a parallel charge board and charge mutiple 1s lipos together without any issues in the same time or faster than it takes to charge...

Need advice on choosing a quad.

Im reading good things about the XK Detect 380 model which is full off hobby grade options with gps hold and true return to home features and also has a 1000 plus meter range...Just an option to consider for under $300.00

A cheap/beginner drone with (good) camera

Id have to say neither of those models are going to carry a "good" camera in the windy mountains..Those 3 models barely carry cheap garbage cameras which weigh less than any decent camera will unless you wanted an 808 #16 camera which is better than any 2mp camera on alot of quad models. You...

cheapest good way to setup x5c-1 with fpv

@Zentg is correct...I was thinking for use with non compatible vehicles to be able to use the record function and needing to manually start recording. Thanks for clearing that up...Sorry for the bad info.
