Lishi Toys L6039 Rotor Blade Query

Hi all,

Just got my first QC, a Lishi Toys L6039, bought from Amazon, and I must say why on earth didn't I buy one sooner!

Just a small query for now please - I have noticed that 3 out of the 4 rotor blades spin freely with a finger however the 4th rotor blade appears to have some sort of slight restriction, in other words it doesn't spin as freely as the other 3.

I have only just received it, hence this query, as I don't know anyone else who has this QC.

If all 4 blades are supposed to rotate in the same manner I think I may have a defective copter. It seems to fly ok, although I have not tried it outdoors as yet.

One not spinning as free can be a number of possible culprits.

1.) Debris around the motor shaft (hair, string etc....)
2.) Dirty gears.
3.) Bad motor pinion
4.) Bad Rotor gear or possible out of round prop shaft
5.) Sticky or possibly defective motor (it happens even if new)

Which one it is i can say as its not in my possession but i would run down the the list as a process of elimination.

Hi Mike, and thanks for your reply.

Several suggestions there, having never owned a QC previously I wouldn't want to start stripping it down to check components as firstly I don't want to invalidate any warranty, and secondly I don't know what I'm doing! I'll try and contact the supplier and ask the question about the 4th rotor.

It seems to fly ok to be honest, however I'm guessing what OK actually is as it's the first time I've owned and flown one. My only concern was that it might damage the motor if there is slight restriction on the movement (and I mean only very slight).

One of the motor assemblies is slightly tighter than the other 3 on my x5c-1....Just fly it and enjoy it...Its inevitable that you will lose a motor at some point.

Dont be afraid to void any warranty or whatever on these toy quads..If you sent one back every time you had an issue you would be at the post off once a week...These are alot of fun once you learn how to repair them yourself...you can keep a quad flying for years and years.

Many thanks Mike, quite reassuring! Got the hang of flying it indoors, no wind today so off out in the fields, and realised that it might be a good idea to buy some spare batteries, otherwise I'll be back home in around 10mins!

Just bought my son a L6039C and I'm surprised we can fly them at the same time (assume they are multi-channel/frequency).

Does anyone know of a UK stockist for spare parts, I've scoured the internet and everywhere seems overseas (USA/China). I've already damaged a prop guard (yes I still have stabilisers on, lol!) and one of the 'flexible' landing legs!
