Phantom 4 Home Lock Setup Problem

I haven't used Home Lock. However, I use Course Lock a fair bit and you should also try that. With Course Lock you set it and the quad becomes "headless" using the original course as a reference point. I use this for shooting video: set a course then fly that course while panning at will (using...

    Syma X5C gear issue

I haven't seen that, and I'd suspect prop balance issues in his case.

Phantom 4 Home Lock Setup Problem

Home lock locks the "heading" of the quad to 180 degrees from it's home point, wherever it's at. Course lock locks its current course as "forward". Either one lets you yaw while maintaining a current course, in order to achieve this cinematic effect. I'm about to leave for a hockey game, but...

    Red 5 FX145

After looking at your more recent photo, my suggestion won't work. I'm out of ideas on this one, I'm afraid.

    Syma X5C gear issue

While you're buying parts, buy some X5HC props for it. They perform better than the stock ones on the X5C. The X5C is a great learning quad, and even if/after you move on to more sophisticated quads, you will probably still fly it pretty often. I do mine. :)

    Red 5 FX145

After looking at your photo, I'm thinking those just MAY be the same props used on the MJX Bugs 3 and the Hubsan H501S. Take a look at...

    Red 5 FX145

That was my question, too. Can you photo or describe the connection from the prop to the shaft? With that and the tip-to-tip measurement we may be able to help you find a compatible prop.

Phantom 4 Home Lock Setup Problem

P stands for "Positioning" and enables GPS. S is "Sport mode", which still uses GPS positioning but enables significantly more movement on pitch, roll and yaw axes. A is "Attitude" mode, which disables GPS positioning and just uses the gyro stabilization. This is what people mean by "manual"...

My Christmas Noob Story 2 drones in 2 days

2 recommendations for the X5C-1: Get some either stock or X5HC props for it, and buy them with contrasting colors as Jackson suggested. You can buy the HC props on Amazon, and I would suggest putting a brighter color on either front or (I suggest) rear. This really helps with orientation when...

Phantom 4 Home Lock Setup Problem

All the advanced flight modes (including home lock and course lock) are accessed with the transmitter in P mode.

Flying Quad Over The Rose Bowl

Note that flying over the stadium during a period when it's not in use doesn't violate that.

    DarkMax issue help please

That sounds like an issue with the battery, either connections on two of the cells, or the cells themselves. I assume you don't have a different 4S you can test?

Flying Quad Over The Rose Bowl

Ideally, flying over the stadium while empty shouldn't require any special permissions...unless there is a TFR in place. With the game so close, it's a very real possibility that there is. google "FAA TFR map" and you can find them listed on the FAA's web site. In reality, that's a very visible...

    DarkMax issue help please

One of the possibilities is that the C rating on his 4S batts is low and when he hits throttle hard the batteries can't deliver the current being asked for. I've seen/heard of cases where that caused a cut-out. Just one thing to consider/eliminate as a possible cause. Since he's a fairly new...

    Manhattan Fly Through ?

The one I use habitually that probably causes people some head-scratching is "IIRC" (if I remember correctly). With my crap memory, I give that one a workout!

    Help with Venom Pro gps

I don't know that quad, so I'm of limited usefulness. However, the first thing I would do it bring it briefly off the ground, then shut off the transmitter to see what it does on loss of signal. Ideally, it should land. Less ideally, it might just cut the motors entirely. I would be surprised if...

    Wltoys v686k remote control problem

There are multi-protocol modules available to add on to FlySky, Frsky, and Spektrum transmitters. They support many of the common manufacturers' protocols and aren't too expensive. Another option is the Jumper T8SG multi-protocol transmitter. It is well made, affordable, and supports Flysky...
