    Help with Venom Pro gps

Yes, but it requires a lot of practice with throttle control. ;)

I believe all the X5 and X8 series. Also the X11. Haven't tried on other models.

    Eachine E013 controls reversed

Man, that is SO something I could see myself doing.

Thanks. No credit to Syma for their less-than-helpful documentation! And they still have undocumented Tx commands after all this time.

The left shoulder button should control high and low rates when short-pressed. It toggles between normal and headless mode when long-pressed.

Mode 1 & Mode 2 are different translations of what the sticks do on the radio/transmitter. Unfortunately, what Syma calls Mode 1 is Mode 2 to the rest of the world and what they call Mode 2 is Mode 4 to the rest of the world. Stick with me here.... In Syma's "Mode 1", left stick is throttle and...

    Newbie question about batteries

The stock battery looks like 500mah. I can't see the connector, but it's most likely to be a micro Losi connector. If so, you can find 650mah and 720mah versions pretty cheap and depending on where the battery goes, they will probably fit. Do some Amazon searches and compare connectors.

    HELP PLZ!

When you click "OK", does it go ahead and connect to the quad and show video? Like ArmyVet said above, the phone needs to connect via WiFi to the quad camera itself, which will be broadcasting video on the 2.4Ghx WiFi band.

    Federal Registration

I checked and my original registration from early this year is still showing, so they are maintaining the pre-court-case-and-legislation registrations. I wonder what happened with the folks who requested and received refunds after the appellate court decision.

    New drone owner

It's happened to the best of us when we were learning! I bought my nephew an X708 for Christmas this year. Should be a good quad to learn on.

Precise Fly Safe Database and a Connector Cord

    This should help.

Just an FYI, I have been flying for a year now ...

Have fun with it! You are likely to end up filming in 1080p anyway, unless you're aiming for something more professional than YouTube and have a PC with enough resources to process 2.7 of 4k video, which is a LOT of resources.

    Federal Registration

SO far my link to the login shows "Down for maintenance". I paid $5 early this year and I don't plan on re-registering. My FAA number is on all my quads that require registration.

Precise Fly Safe Database and a Connector Cord

DJI provides two connector cords with the Phantom 4's. One of them, you will pick up and say "What the Hell is this? I won't ever use this!" That's the one you need to use. If you have it and can't figure out what to connect with what, reply and I'll crack my case open and remind myself so I can...

    Phantom 4 Has Finally Arrived

In the settings in the Go4 app, click on the icon that looks like a quad. Then scroll down to "Advanced" and click that. Then choose "sensors". You get a screen that shows the IMU and gyro, but has two tabs at the top. The second tab is "compass".

    Syma X5C-1 Landing

What they said. Also, remember that once you get very close to the ground you're flying in your own prop wash, so the last 1-2' don't mess around, lower it on down to the ground. Practice landings on grass, obviously. Persevere and you will get it.

    Federal Registration

I registered early this year before the appellate court washed out the original requirement, so I'm going to assume I'm still registered under the same FAA number.
