Can you check my part list please?

The KK board is probably the easiest to setup and use. (Only70% sure about this) If you put the firmware on it you really don't have to adjust anything. I have a KK 2.1.5 and it was easy to setup, my flash tool is still on back order, but even stock the KK was easy to setup. I just watched...

I suggest this if your just starting out in R/C.

Can you check my part list please?

I was mentioning the spelling error, they put "trust" instead of thrust :). Bottom Link: First your frame looks to be better. The TX/RX are poor quality (from appearence) and seem to be a knockoff of a FrySky. Once you buy it you can fly it out of the box, as it has been tested (wouldn't...

Think you had a bad crash, look at this

I saw this on FB. This looks like it really hurt. Hex completely demolished while holding a DSLR.

Can you check my part list please?

Wow, that is pretty cheap to be all inclusive RTF. The bottom is really cheap for someone getting started on a budget. I do like that the motors have a "-Max Trust: 460g" . As far as the hardware goes though it uses the cheapest parts possible. If you don't have a problem with that it...

Can you check my part list please?

Ok, HK has probably the most complete selection, thier shipping is not very good though. If possible order from the nearest warehouse. Try to get everything possible from one store, which will probably be HK.

I've seen a bunch of people on a Facebook group using pool noodles :).

Haha, that is a really good idea. I tried springs, but the weight added for the hardware is too much.

    Hello, totally new, questions...

A few weeks/month (I don't have good memory on time xD) ago I was searching around to find a good budget Tx/Rx Orange, and the Turnigy 9X were the most mentioned. Most racers like to use 4S so I checked HK: I could not find any 2300KV motors that would handle 4s so I looked for a little...

Can you check my part list please?

Welcome to the forums. Overall I's say you have a great build. If I were you I'd get a little bigger ESCs, you should have a little over 5 amps higher esc than max motor draw. a 12a or 15a would be good. Make sure they don't say "(opto)". Great choice on matching the Motors to the props...

    Upgrade and mod a hubsan x4 h107d

Haha, I'd like to see that wireless charging. I have yet to do anything with it, but have thought about making an converting the extra battery iPhone case to do that. It seems less then ideal on efficiency. You do have a lot of plans, I'll be really interested in seeing the finished product...

    Really... REALLY new user !

Welcome to the forum. There are different types and sizes. With that budget you have between a 250(mm from motor centre to motor centre) to a 400. Looking at the way you word things I am guessing you are from the US? If so there are a few laws, mostly when you are close to an airport...

Show me yours, I'll show you mine...

Just about all CF quadcopter frames are a mix of CF and a composit. A 100% CF frame that size would be REALLY expensive it is $72.85 for a 400mmX500mmX1.0mm sheet, and that is not even cut into shape.

    First Quadcopter

I used bullet connectors for testing, but did not get enough to do the whole thing. I agree that a solder joint is the best joint you can get (depending on who is soldering ). So it is common to direct solder in RC? I am still new to the RC side of things :p.

how does CF handle a crash? I am not talking the crashes that most people who have flown before have, I am talking hitting the ground, tree, or pole while moving about 40mph.

First build setup, looking for feedback

Haha, I did this twice within minutes of each other. Here is the link, and I edited my post above. As I figure you already know, larger props. 12'' props are usually on about a 940kv motor, often a little lower.

First build setup, looking for feedback

Also here is my build, it would probably hold something like a gopro. I have a lot of my regrets and whatnot listed. It could be useful. I wist I had went to a 12'' prop size rather than the 9x4.7 I use now. It would give me a little more thrust.

Defiantly not top, but will have a distance of much further than you'll be able to see LOS. It has a lot of bang for your buck. Spektruim (Great quality; Dx6i, Dx6, or Dx7) Orange (great quality, cheapest on this list, and receivers work with most Spektruim products) FrySky (makes a good yet...

First build setup, looking for feedback

Welcome to the forums. Really nice build, you seem to have done a good bit of research. Make sure to get two packs of bullet connectors, and a battery strap. Here is the charger I use, nothing fancy, just gets the job done cheaply, it has a nice weight to it and feels solid. A 250 is not...
