Also bullet connectors and battery strap. The starting price for a hobby grade quadcopter is around $250 (~£230). You'd be better to save up and buy all possible at once from each distributor. Because the shipping for this stuff is REALLY high.

You could always dip the spruce in aluminium paint, or even what ever colour you want. :) Search up "guitar swirl dip" on Google images. There are some really cool patterns.

You can pull power strait off of the battery if just takes 12v and you have a 3S. If you have a 4s, then I'd use some sort of step down, I use these for everything, I love them, but you can find something made just for FPV.

I agree, my next upgrade/quad will be a Y6. I really like that I'd only have to buy two more motors to get some redundancy.

I don't have a 250, so I have never experimented, but you can experiment on this calculator. The only difference is in the weight/capacity. If I were you I'd get more than one battery, to allow for both, you'd just have to change batteries.

Do you want longer flight times or faster flights? Here is a 1000mah 3S Lipo with the xt60 connector. You could buy from somewhere else, but here is a good example. I forgot to mention that you'll need a charger. This is a cheap one that I use.
