    I lost my quad!

What company did you order from? "I should have saved my money for a better quad" THAT is the the biggest/hardest lesson that is most learned throughout this hobby.

    any comments on this kit?

You defiantly want to avoid flysky radios and receivers. You could get that and upgrade as you get the money, but I would strongly suggest against that radio, unless you make a fail-safe for it.

    First Quadcopter Setup. Need HELP!

I'd go with 3 blade, as for props it kinda depends how you want to fly.

    Quadcopter Science Project

Looking great, the eye looks like it would help a lot.

    First Quadcopter Setup. Need HELP!

Battery, this one has 45amp constant discharge rate, I suggest getting a couple of these smaller ones as apposed to one bigger capacity battery. Radio, I suggest getting the Spektrum DX7, if you want to stick with getfpv.com and have the money, if not Isuggest the Turnigy 9X from hobbyking.com...

    250 racer props

What motors and ESCs do you have? If you are not racing in any types of competitions with rules on props and your motor/ESC combo can handle 6'' then it should be fine.

Experienced RC Helis; new to quads; advice please?

Sounds like you and Neil will have a lot in common, you'll find quads cheaper to fly, and somewhat easier to fly than a heli. Look into Hobbyking.com they have warehouses in the UK, and have everything you'll probably need. We use them probably more than any one store, just be sure to get as...

Singer Enrique Iglesias was injured by a quadcopter!

Yeah, they use "drones" and mostly helicopters, which would be far more annoying, and disrupting.

    My first quad build

45 amps, but you don't usually draw max, and bout all batteries have a burst rating.

Singer Enrique Iglesias was injured by a quadcopter!

We don't get positive media attention until a news station decides they are like "drones", as all media stations are biased, if not obvious in their articles, then obvious in what they decide to report on.

What Happens when you Don't Pay Attention

I agree, but if you are flying in a wooded area, or doing racing a GPS will only get you into trouble, whether it is a fly away, or if you try to kick the RTH in with a tree above you. I am getting a MutiWii to replace my KK soon just for the GPS.

    Help with idea

Could be prop imbalance, or props too flimsy.

Holy Stone - good for a newbie?

Looks like they are a good choice, maybe Neil or @Jackson can give a batter answer. @holtneil

    Tough Day in the Air

Haha, I know the feeling, I had two solid hours of preparation to fly, and a prop exploded while I was doing a setup run, it damaged the frame, and I had yet to get any flight time in aside from the crash xD.

Cheap, yet good FPV setups to get you started

Haha, thanks. The profile pic is something I cobbled together at around 4am, it is a picture of me in a Guy Fawkes mask and crooked sunglasses, and I pasted the USAF (Unites States Air Force) emblem on after I was sworn in. I don't yet have any cool quadcopter pictures so I used that xD.

Cheap, yet good FPV setups to get you started

Lol, hopefully in a non creepy way xD. I know at first this stuff is rather confusing, so I am working on making it less complicated. Check this guide I am working on. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1g9DdHQPNaRJD47F2gLn0ZvAYGjW_ajpS2RcGAn7WPKU/edit?usp=sharing

    Looking for a starter quad

Haha, good point, I am still building up to that phantom price tag, and I love my quad probably more than I would a Phantom.
