    Old School Syma X1 build.

I just picked up 2 new syma X1 models ( semi complete with no electronics) to do a nostalgic build...One with the "Space craft" body and one with the "UFO" body..I also managed to find new original Syma X1 FC's and X1 motors to add to it...The only thing sold out was the original transmitter but...

    Syma to release new models

It seems syma is coming out with some new models for 2016. From what i can tell the big new feature here is with an "Altitude hold" function...Im not sure if you can choose altitude or if its pre programmed..Ill be checking out reviews for sure..Hopefully syma doesnt pull another fast one and...

    Nihui U807 on the way.

Let me know what you get measurement wise...one of the mods i have planned will hopefully address that issue..Time will tell.

    Next logical step

The problem with the X5S boards is the programming...they didnt program in enough pitch to fight any wind...Its not uncommon for the quad to be pushed backwards even in very little winds...The X5C boards have a far more aggressive pitch compared to the x5s. I would have to confirm if you could...

    Nihui U807 on the way.

No antenna or range mods...Its confirmed a solid 150m which is way farther than you could see it by eye being its size. Yea..thats the size i heard that works on it...i cant confirm it yet but the stock shafts are supposedly 2.95mm dia and the inner race of the bearing (and stock bushing) is...

    Next logical step

I would suggest a larger Syma X8C and go with a real fpv system...you can get a true FPV system including monitor for around $100-$120.00 that will out perform any wifi fpv or toy camera. The syma x5s models unfortunately have issues with the control boards and despite having the wifi fpv...

    Nihui U807 on the way.

Yay, i got email confirmation tonight at work that the quad was shipped...Hopefully by middle of next week ill have it. Ive already determined what upgrades ill be doing to this quad and because of one upgrade in particular, i wont be flying the quad at all untill the mod is performed...I'll...

    Syma x5c battery problem

I doubt it will even lift off the ground with a 2000mah battery...hahaha. ..A syma x8c 1200 mah is 160 plus grams by itself...Way too much battery for an x5c...Its possible the FC is going into thermal shut down from too much amperage trying to lift that battery...Im surprised it hasnt burned up...

    Nihui U807 on the way.

Just pulled the trigger on this from the banggood USA warehouse using a coupon code for $36 and change shipped...No 30 day wait and delivered within a maximum of 7 days. Reviews of this quad are very good to say the least and im looking forward to experiencing the fun..One thing im looking...

    SYMA X5C-1 coming soon.

I think youll have fun with hybrid quads more than RTF models...Every model has some sort of con to it and the fun is finding all the pros of them and mixing it all together to build something way more fun and reliable than a single rtf model. I have quite a few different things id like to try...

    SYMA X5C-1 coming soon.

    SYMA X5C-1 coming soon.

I did some thinking and im still getting the X5C-1 but ill be picking up a Nihui U807 AND a Yizhan X6 first. Both are sitting in my cart and waiting for uncle sam to make the direct deposit into my bank before i check out....Getting both from the Banggood USA warehouse in NY...With a 6% off...

[Question] Syma x5c gradually losing power

One tip for all of you...DRY LUBE!!!...you have to keep the gears clean lubed like most anything else with gears. I have zero doubts the heat generated by those plastic gears deform the gears over time and create more friction which in turn makes the motors work harder and burn them up even...

    Syma X8C VS Ei-Hi Large Size S800C

Possible...i just figured the reviews arent that of the WL toys version...Alot of different makers of the same quad make subtle changes in that if you bought the parts to replace something from the more popular brand they dont actually fit re-brand or clones of models.

    Syma X8C VS Ei-Hi Large Size S800C

The EiHi appears to be more of a WL toys V686 clone...For carrying capacity i would go with the X8C..Syma has full parts support and, is a proven performer..Ive not even heard of this EIHI model till you posted a link...I doubt parts support will match SYMA and also consider the less than 4 star...
