    Holy Stone F181W Question

The problem sounds like it's not syncing with the phone. Try adjusting or re calibrating the WiFi on the phone, try another phone. Was the old phone of the same type/brand as the new one? You might need to check with the carrier to see if there is some setting that needs to be adjusted...

    Cruise VS ?????????

We'll fight them on land, we'll fight them at sea, we'll fight them in the air, we'll fight them at the barbecue, we'll fight them in the bedroom, oops, not the bedroom, that's where the wife fights. DRONES FOREVER, BROTHERS!!!

I am going to need a bigger QUAD!

The rash of sharks in coastal waters has been attributed to climate change. The water of the oceans has been warming causing the animals to seek food that is rising to the surface for oxygen. Deeper, colder water contains lower oxygen levels, so fish are rising to the warmer waters. Sharks prey...

Out Flying in the OutBack Today

I was thinking about training my wife to do that (chase my quad, not a roo). She has a problem of moving quickly on hands and knees though, plus her mouth is too small (well for that at least). If my wife reads this, I'm dead!

So, is the dog Herbie? Does he treat the quad like a Frisbee?

    Parrot Disco

That's my problem with my quadcopter, it knocks on (rather into) wood (mostly trees) most of the time. I call it "buzzsaw" for short!

Think about the Wright Brothers --- they could only keep the Kittyhawk up for 150 feet.

    Parrot Disco

Since I've flown both types of aircraft, it is standard procedure to takeoff against the wind and land against the wind.Wind speed over the wings mean the force of lift is in effect. Fly slower than your stall speed and you will crash if you are not at a sufficient altitude to recover from the...

Flamethrower Drone ... Fire in the Sky

The photo does not justify the dispersal of "bait" 500 yards out. Using a Spinning rod with mono-filament line, that would be some cast. You'd need your quad o drop the line as well.

When a plane starts to fly, it creates its own wind, duh.

Flamethrower Drone ... Fire in the Sky

Another idea --- an Infrared Camera with a long range lens. Be good for night time recon and searches.

Flamethrower Drone ... Fire in the Sky

What about that kid that had a 9mm automatic added to his quadcopter. Wasn't that a treat? So many thing you can do with a quadcopter other than having fun!

This is what the swiss call a drone

I don't know, but, a helicopter has that anti-torque control with the pedals. a quadcopter does not. The quadcopter, as I understand, controls the anti-torque by having four (or more) rotors spinning in opposite direction. Turning is done with a combination of moving the yaw and pitch controls...

Flamethrower Drone ... Fire in the Sky

Yeah, and if it crashes with a gallon of Gasoline on board, that could be a real boom!

Flamethrower Drone ... Fire in the Sky

Really? I can see some great uses for it, like starting forest fires, burning down your neighbor's house, etc. Who, other that a fire department or pyromaniac would want one?

This is what the swiss call a drone

There are model helicopters though that have the same control aspects that real helicopters have. I wonder then how to control them from a two stick transmitter?

    The athletic power of quadcopters

Ok, this was presented in another thread... It was fascinating then and now.
