$1,000 Budget !! Please help me build one.

Your not going to get nimbal and long flight time, why do you need the long flight time? If you just want the long flight time for fun, if so I'd just get a couple batteries and swap them out when you get low.

Flight time or just hover, and what all are you going to be lifting?

    Dropshippers - are they reliable.

Never dealt with it, can you explain it to the Americans here (like me). https://www.dropshippers.com/

Could get 300k/v motors and size up the props, because a 900kv motor can handle 12'' well. Also note that the excalc does conservative estimates. How long are you looking to get?

    FPV Feed cut out problems

Get some polarized antennas, rubber duckies (Dipole) are junk.

    Brushed Motor Lifespan

Haha, most all of these are coreless. They are actually cheaper to make this way.

    First build trouble shooting

Check that the motors are spinning the correct way, if not reverse any two wires on the 3-phase side.

Also higher voltage helps, but getting HV parts will NOT be cheap.

    $400 to spend, any ideals

Higher voltage would make it a much better endurace quadcopter.

How long a flight time are you looking for and what do you plan to carry?

    Using 2x2s as a 4s and making it act as a 3s

If you can get/make a light frame this may not be a problem, I would just plan the build for 4S, as it cost pretty much the same, just get ESCs and motors that are rated to handle 4s lipos. You may need to get 11'' props if your motors have enough torque to handle them. I am lifting 3...

    Battery heating

The battery 25*1.3= 32.5 amps and 35*1.3=45.5 amps, all together your motors can draw up to 40 amps, so you seem to be fine if it hovers at ~30% throttle, if you fly REALLY aggressively it could become a problem Check your solder joints, you may have a cold joint giving you resistance.

    using radar for object detection

Take a look at a sonar module.

    first time flyer

While it is possible to make it control the runcam, or about any other camera, you'd either need an Arduino, or PWM switch.

newbie intro: looking to get into autonomous flight

I have been using the H frame design for a few different frames and can confirm that it is really nice, it has a lot more room than many other designs and can be built easy and cheap.

    Can I do this

That is correct, as there are only 3 possible axis's in a 3D plain they are combining the two sensors to make their number 'bigger'.

    first time flyer

You could get a runcam if your quad will lift it. it takes video, so just take the stills out of the video.

Review of the Hubsan X4 H107L and Tips for Flying

I'd be interested in seeing some of your data, could you make a thread in experimentation? The batteries may be just a hair overcharged, but stopping them at 3.7v is a BIG help, many people run them to 3.0v and charge their LiPos fast; this really decreases the life span, and shortens future...
