I agree 110% with your statement. Education not registration would have the best outcome.

FAA Sued In Federal Court Over Drone Registration Rules

Not sure, but it is kind of sad that an individual had to be the catalyst.

    3D Printed DJI Inspire replica

What is your budget on this build? If you are building a full size replica then the arms are 20mm from front to back, and the ones that mount to the body are 25mm. The motors are dji 3510.

FAA Sued In Federal Court Over Drone Registration Rules

Mr. Taylor is requesting that the court “issue an order declaring that the [FAA's registration rule] is void” and prohibited by Section 336 of the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012. He alleges that that section specifically prohibits the FAA from promulgating any new rules or regulations...

first build - 300 emax - New year resolution goal

Welcome to the forum :D Have the escs, and radio been calibrated? I actually purchased a small servo when I first started to help with troubleshooting. I do not have any experience with the KK flight controller, but this may help.

    New quad in the post

I have the Taranis, and love it, but its not for everyone since everything has to be configured. Many folks like the Spektrum radios. You will need at least 4 channels at minimum, but I would recommend 6 or more to change functions inflight. This guy has a good explanation...

    Whats a happy medium quadcopter

DJI has a few phantoms on sale. These may fall in your price range, and will fly just as stable as the 3 professional without all the bells and whistles. http://store.dji.com/phantom You could also look on eBay for one in good condition for much less.

    New guy on the block

Cool looking quad, and welcome to the forum :D I have much larger and heavier craft, and the wind affects their flights, so I think it is going to be difficult to learn/practice in the wind especially if you are just getting started. You could get a cx10 to practice indoors if you do not have...

    Hexacopter and 6 channels

The wavy-ness is the jello affect. Balancing the props, and using softer gimbal dampeners usually clears it up.

Have you used 4 in 1 ESC?

I have not, but I have heard that you can get ones where you can replace an individual esc if one burns out. I would go with a more reliable brand. I learned my lesson on the cheap escs.(I lost a quad once, and I am 99% sure it was an esc issue)
