    SYMA x8g

I wasnt aware the motors were changed in the G model over the C model...The C can already handle 175 to 200g carrying capacity...more than enough really. Either way the SYMA X8 series are the powerhouses of the toy quads out today. I would personally rather waste $20.00 for a camera im not...

    SYMA x8g

Thats what i was meaning by selling it or at least saving the $60.00 or more you pay for the G model and get a better camera to mount on the X8C. You can buy go pro quality cameras for $70-$80.

    SYMA x8g

The X8C seems to be a great platform to mount much better quality cameras..The X8G has the best camera mounted but its far from being better than what you can get for the same price range of a camera. Buying the X8C then installing a better camera seems to be the best route to take...You can...

    Jjrc h8d motor

That teflon dry lube would work on the gears...i would still use acer for the bearings though.

There you go...i use ACER SIN bearing lube for ALL my rc bearings...its a little expensive but its the best ive ever used...It seems the more you use it the smoother the bearings get..I have yet to have a bearing failure using it. I looked at one link on amazon and it was way expensive at over...

They are 4x7x2 open bearings...heres one link for 10 pieces for just under 6 dollars but a long wait from china to get them...You may be able to source these at boca or the same bearings from someone who ships from the usa for the same bearings as in this link...

When you start to see the gears turning black you just diassemble and clean them up with some soap and water and maybe a little tooth brush..Most of the shafts run through bushings as well..just wipe them out clean...You may want to check on a bearing upgrade to replace the bushings...i think...

Newbie, fast learner. How does flying quads compare to RC helicopters?

Sounds like you have it pretty much worked out...Should be alot of fun once you get the bugs worked out...Im going to work in about 20 minutes myself hahaha....sigh.

Most of your vibrations are coming from the mounting of the camera..the props should be pretty well balanced. Most detach the camera and find a better way to mount it with some sort of vibration dampening..Alot tend to use foam as a damper...Some even make custom gimbals using parts from a...

Get a real battery charger like the Imax B6 or a thunder AC6 from hobbypartz.com..You can charge in like an hour with a real charger...I dont trust those chargers that come with the quads at all..most do more harm than good and take forever to charge. Hahaha on the CX10...its a little speed...

£120 budget, with HD camera and easy to fly

74 grams is a piece of cake for the X8 to lift. Seems a hobby grade versus toy grade with suggestions here. Both have advantages and dis advantages...Toy grade is ready to go..no spending hours figuring out where to find this download and that download and how to set up the radios properly and...

    Problem with syma x5cw

I would try to re calibrate...Most transmitters need to be in high rates then its either both sticks to the lower left or lower right to re calibrate the board...usually you will see the lights flashing when its re calibrated then it will stop.

Also consider when replacing one motor after 2 weeks of use the other motors have been used the same period of time..So when you replace one motor expect one of the others to go out maybe sooner...I love the entry price of these toy quads but keeping one going is where these companies are making...

    Jjrc h8d motor

Hubsan motors are used in direct drive applications...Something from a similar designed geared set up would probably be more suited. Honestly i would just get a replacement motor from jjrc and see what happens...Its certainly not uncommon to replace motors on just about any quad no matter who...

    Jjrc h8d motor

The brushed motors are typically hit and miss with burning up...you can get one that lasts 50 flights and then again one that lasts 5 flights...Its just a throw of the dice...There isnt much difference really in these brushed motors other than KV ratings...Some are designed for use with geared...

One more tip..if you feel you are going to crash or see it happening always remember to cut throttle asap just b4 it hits ground, as this can save your props and motors in most cases and also help with not burning up your flight board.

Newbie, fast learner. How does flying quads compare to RC helicopters?

I would suggest learning to hover as the first level...You may find it wants to drift left or right or maybe travel backwards or forwards...The object here is to keep it withing a small confine...Of course adjust trims as needed to get it as stable as possible first then you will have to...
