Newbie, fast learner. How does flying quads compare to RC helicopters?

I even say prayers to them and give them fresh batteries in the morning to show my love.

Newbie, fast learner. How does flying quads compare to RC helicopters?

The so called permanent battery is more of a convenient thing..Simple plug in and charge all in one deal. Its good you can solder because part of this hobby is replacing motors when they burn up..Some use plugs but many dont so soldering you will get to practice up on even more. I kept my...

Congrats on the purchases...Take note that the CX-10 on high rates is no beginners quad...that little sucker is a fast..hahaha...Enjoy. If for any reason you notice the battery weakening or not taking charge anymore dont throw it away...Its not a model with a replaceable battery where you...

My favorite place so far cost wise has been DealsMachine...The JJRC1000 and x6 transmitter i ordered actually shipped from NewYork...Honestly i was expecting it to come from china..Apparently they are a sister company to one of the bigger 3 china outlets and have ties in the USA on some of the...

I can show you where to get the FY326 for $16.00 if you didnt mind waiting longer to get it..Actually you can buy an X5C-1 bind and fly with no camera for $18.00..Buy the transmitter for another $12.50 ...so, instead of paying for a crappy camera with the complete rtf kit, use the 20 dollars you...

8.5 motors do not fit the syma x5...However you have an alternative to fit the FY326 motor holders to the syma..its not exactly a direct replacement but it has been done before...But keep in mind the radio only allows so much pitch so it may not really be any faster with larger motors..The JJRC...

Newbie, fast learner. How does flying quads compare to RC helicopters?

The X8C is about as good as its going to get as far as a powerhouse capable of carrying a go pro camera or full on FPV equipment in the toy quad line up. It uses a 7.4v 2s lipo and uses much larger motors than other 7.4v quads as far as the toy quads are concerned.. Right out of the box it...

Newb Looking for advice on affordable micro/mini RTF

Forget telemetry in a starter quad..what you want first is a "trainer" quad to learn how to fly...You arent going to turn your toy into a full fledged hobby grade capable of carrying all the electronics you need for telemetry with gps and full size FPV cameras on 200mm toy quad even with 8.5mm...

Newb Looking for advice on affordable micro/mini RTF

The Devo radio is only compatible with modifications done to it..Its a $50 $55 dollar radio but has exponential adjustments and alot of other features toy radios dont have that allow one to fine tune the quad how they like it...You can add more pitch or take it away...the same with yaw and...

The main thing is flight performance which the flight boards all control. This is why i like to build my own..i can put a great flight board in almost any model i want and make it just as good if not better than one single model. Protocol is a big concern as even just a simple radio upgrade...

Pros: looks like the Nine eagles galaxy and is a very sharp looking design. Cons: No long term following to confirm reliability, flight performance. Conclusion: JJRC and SYMA are known and trusted models people actually buy with proven performance, reliability and abundance of parts support...

A heli conversion kit is around $50.00 to convert a single motor to brushless...you can buy a complete brushless quad and a decent radio for less than what it would cost to convert to brushless...Just not worth it...read this. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2275584

Newb Looking for advice on affordable micro/mini RTF

Im not aware of a brushless kit to convert the toy quads..i think he didnt know what he was talking about. Brushless are extremely more powerful and not something you want to begin with...They do require a bit more knowledge to operate and is big jump in cost for the most part. Now, i will say...
