What would happen if a multirotor were sucked into the engine of a passenger aircraft?

Who wants to be a passenger on a plane with anything flying into the motor that shouldn't?..just saying. Tests are typically under controlled conditions expecting a certain range of results...Some people die in a 30mph car crash while some people dont. A stationary jet engine is different from...

    Modding RTF quad transmitter antennas

What other mods would you be referring to?...You only have the antenna mod on the transmitter...using the RP SMA cable is even longer than adding a piece of wire and, keeping it inside the transmitter...The rp sma mod gives gives you a "real" antenna poking up outside of the radio.

    Building Hybrids for fun.

Ive not seen that charger till now so i cant report on if its reliable and accurate or not...Most like the Imax B6 charger from a reputable source..alot of fakes of that charger being produced. For a hobby quad you need at least a decent radio ..i suppose you could use a cheaper radio if you...

Figure in these costs to build something brushless aside from frame cost Electronic speed controllers...You need 4 of them at about $12 to $15.00 each. Motors you need 4 as well at around the same cost or even higher...add in for 4 props and a few spares as well. Programmable flight...

    Building Hybrids for fun.

Youre not going to be able to build "toy cheap" using frames designed for brushless motors. Youre only choices really are picnicquads designed frames or buy something like a bind and fly model and use the best motors and flight board as well as props to build a well performing hybrid.

    Syma X5C-1 ESC symptoms

Resting voltage and when the charger stops charging are two separate things...All batteries will lose voltage as it sits but its the overcharging that damages the cells..Heat is the number one enemy of batteries...internally the cells are way hotter than they should be when overcharged and...

    Tarantula X6 Quadcopter

Much larger diameter than the x5c or any of the more common 6mm thru 8.5mm style motors used with 3.7v systems. The SYMA X8C and similar SYMA X8 models however reign king with toy quad motor size and power with 7.4v systems. There is only like a small handful using 7.4v power systems. DM007...

    New Guy with a question.

The transmitters are not compatible between the two models..however things like props and gears and shafts and bodies as well as motors should all be compatible with each other.

Hahaha..no biggie...mods will fix it...they need something to do..hahaha. Im not sure how to get you a custom 200mm sized body or frame without it needing to be hobby grade to assemble. The SYMA X5C-1 and JJRC H5C and actually quite a few more models are 200mm sized....this is probably your...

I feel we are sort of hijacking this thread as its not going to pertain to a cheap 250 racer quad..so if youd like we can continue here and see if the mods wish to delete our convo here. http://quadcopterforum.com/threads/building-hybrids-for-fun.6367/

    Building Hybrids for fun.

I use PicnicQuads frames for "custom" toy quad builds...they arent 200 size however and are much smaller. If you just want something that flies well i recommend a cheap bind and fly model and using one of the better flight boards and a cheap controller to fly it with...Or just a popular model...

If youre starting out with just a frame you have no choice but to build hobby grade unless using a frame designed for brushed motors.

    Building Hybrids for fun.

Can you program a flight board and calibrate an ESC..whats your budget for a radio as well?..were not talking about low cost here at all...expect to pay $200 or more easily and this isnt including a good radio which will be around $100 as well if not more. The frames are fairly cheap but you...

Anyone else with this X5C-1 issue/Problem

Im pretty sure syma has a fail safe built in...the way to test is to lightly power up the quad and, then just turn the transmitter off..after a couple of seconds the quad should shut down all power. Also when funky things are going on sometimes just re calibrating the board might help. Not all...

    Syma X5C-1 ESC symptoms

The first 2 are over charged...i would bet money thats why they are going bad on you..No more than 4.23v is considered acceptable and ,it is damaging your cells....a good charger will stop them at exactly 4.20 volts to 4.23v.

    Syma X5C-1 ESC symptoms

The fets are actually replaceable if you are good with breadboard soldering...You can use higher amp rated Fets as well...Im not much rehearsed in the way of the electronics soldering department on something so small but it can be done...The good thing is depending on what model you have a...

I suppose im more of the toy quad builder as opposed to hobby grade...If that is the direction you want to get started with i can help lead you in that direction. Nothing like a great flying inexpensive start...Mixing and matching the right parts can make for a very solid first quad. Hit me up...

£120 budget, with HD camera and easy to fly

The lift capacity is around 175 to 200g for the x8c...they are brushed motors but, much larger the size of other 7.4v toy quads...could carry a go pro or clone of one easily...The X8C weighs around 600g...its a full 350mm size and a direct clone size wise of the DJI Phantom...Its as powerful of...
