What worries me is you saying you left the battery plugged in overnight..Please don't do that. The chargers that come with these toy quads arent verystable and can overcharge a battery very easily causing a fire..Never leave charging batteries unattended. Its not uncommon to get a bad battery...

I think battery life you see is for the transmitter and not the quad...Make sure the quad battery is fully charged.

Do you know if you have different flight rates or not?..If you do, it must be in high rates to calibrate properly...Push button trims are fine and ,you should hear a long beep when one is centered properly. If none of that is working out for you, i can only suggest the flight board having...

"Binding" your quad is not the same as a re calibration process. To me it sounds like your gyro is either faulty or, you need to re calibrate the quad. 1.) Power up quad and place it on level surface (very important) 2.) Turn on transmitter and make sure ALL trim adjustments are centered...

Turn on quad..wait a few seconds...turn on transmitter then move the throttle stick all the way up and all the way back down again..it should make a beep sound letting you know its bound to the quad...It should then power the controls and hopefully work.

Or you could do a more simple less costly project and build a hybrid from toy quads. There are alot of compatible parts you can use to build your own toy quad much like the syma x5c for something more simple as a first do it yourself project...Its fun to buy a ready to fly but its more fun...

Anyone new to a quadcopter or even a helicopter will have some difficulties at first untill it becomes natural to you...i started with a helicopter and even after almost 30yrs of driving rc land vehicles i looked liked i never controlled anything in my life..Keep practicing and learning to use...

I would imagine it was too big for a heli.....they dont give much room for components and able to keep it balanced properly in stock locations....I dont see why it wouldnt work on a quad with alot more space to work with.

I was under the impression something burned out on it more so than just after a reprogramming, it didnt work...Good news then as you can just move all of it to a different frame and be done with it or get another body...Glad to hear its ok.

The Bayang X9 use 6mm motors as well..those are super cheap...something like $6.00 for a set of 4....longer run tikes equals more heat which effect the motor..Its not so much how a motor effects a battery but how a battery effects the motors..205 mah should be ok as an upgrade but i would let...
