Hahaha, hopefully you don't die trying, but I would try some silver bearing solders (not the lead free ones) and I personally like to use flux and rosin core. They do make some solder for aluminium, however I stay away from it because it eats expensive tips fast.

Use a little google to figure out how to connect it to your PC using the cleanflight chrome extention, and then once you get it to connect check under your reciever tab and set it to the appropiate recievier type. I'd assume PWM_paralell off the top of my head, but I might not be 100% correct...
