I hear you. Not being a reviewer, I get it. But he seems like a decent guy from the short convos I've had with him elsewhere. And he has both of the quads the OP might be comparing.

I second this if your budget permits. Do talk to Gadget Inspector if you can, though. He owns a Phantom 3 as well...again, if I'm remembering correctly.

    XK X300 prop replacement problem

It sounds like the screw may not be passing through the hole in the prop itself to get down to the threads on the main gear shaft. If that's the case, you might just need to enlarge the hole in the prop hub very slightly. The prop is kept from spinning on the hub by the hex shape of each of the...

    Novice, wanting to upgrade...

Absolutely. Moz is flying brushed FPV racers, so he is living a different reality. 12 mph is a lot of wind for that quad and where you are on the learning curve. 17 mph is in the "fugeddaboudit" range.

The P4 vs. Mavic question to me boils down to how often, how far, and in what you are going to transport it. If you're going to hike, backpack, or travel with it, definitely a Mavic. If not, I think the P4 series is a better option. In particular, if you are a really serious photographer with...

I want to say Gadget Inspector (who is on here) got one as a test unit and flew it. You might want to send him a message and ask him about it. Again, I'm working from memory, but it seems to me he liked it a lot.

    XK X300 prop replacement problem

Are you sure the prop is seated all the way down on the main gear shaft?

    XK X300 prop replacement problem

IIRC, the shaft on the main gear for that quad is hex shaped and the prop hob is as well. The screw just passes through the center of the prop hub and "bites" in the top of the main gear shaft?

A quick video and/or photos would be helpful if you can post one/them.

    Glitchy MJX Bugs 2W Video?

My first check would be the micro SD card. That looks like the cause could be write speed. What's the class/rating on the card you're using? Also, for the "jello" effect, do a YouTube search on "balancing props". That could eliminate at least some of it.

I'm pretty sure that bird doesn't have altitude hold. It might just be really stable in dead calm air. Sounds like you're already making progress. And you're already thinking about your next one...welcome to the hobby!

    Headless Mode? Bad idea?

I always suggest turning the basic maneuvers into a game when you're learning. Smallest movement to hover, "box" patterns as square as you can make them, smooth S-maneuvers with the nose pointing away, etc. Make mastering the basics fun, and you will become skilled and keep having a blast as you...

    Headless Mode? Bad idea?

I would definitely avoid learning to fly in headless mode. Learning to adjust controls for orientation is one of the basic skills you want to master. Start by learning to control the quad with it facing away from you all the time. Once you have a decent handle on basic moves, then turn it 45...

She'll get used to it. Mine has learned to ignore being buzzed by a micro FPV while she's doing school work or watching TV. She just sighs and shakes her head. :D

I forgot to mention: fly the U818A inside at first! No wind there. You gotta learn to hover and control anyway...that bird has prop guards built in, so you won't break anything.

    Novice, wanting to upgrade...

It's always a good thing to learn to fly progressively, and the good news is that it doesn't have to cost a ton. How windy is windy in your area - what's typical wind speed? You're right, the U818A is not going to be great at fighting the wind. You can find good, cheap micro or mini drones for...

    Waterproofing

Welcome to the dark side, Moz (about the China suppliers). I order a ton of stuff from there. PayPal and then semi-forget it until it shows up. As long as you stick with the big name sites, you will be fine. And if anything goes wrong the PayPal dispute process is your best friend. As far the...

HELP NEEDED SYMA X8HG Quadcopter 2.4G BIGGEST BATTERY CAPACITY THAT WILL FIT

Those should work fine and you have Amazon's return policy if you have any issue. 25C is the same C rating as the stock battery if I remember correctly. The C rating is the maximum sustained amperage the battery is rated to deliver safely: 25C = 25 * the battery's capacity in amp-hours, or 25 *...

HELP NEEDED SYMA X8HG Quadcopter 2.4G BIGGEST BATTERY CAPACITY THAT WILL FIT

There are for sure some after-market options that are 2200 mah and fit fine according to the folks who fly X8's. How much extra flight time that will give you I can't say. I believe I have seen some 2400 or 2500mah 2S batteries with the right connectors that may fit as well. I'd do some Google...
