    Nitvid first FPV

I'd kick in $50 or so to your budget and buy a BNF "tiny whoop" style brushed micro compatible with your intended transmitter to get started learning to fly FPV with. It will save you some money in parts and repairs in the long run. I have an Eachine E010S that I still have fun with inside, but...

    399 Phantom 3 Standard at the Wal-mart

You should do well with a P3S at that price. They're good quads. People whine about the range being less on the standard than on an Advanced or Pro, or any of the P4 models, but for $400 you can't go wrong IMO.

Narrowed it Down to Two-and-a-Half Drones

The Hubsan is a clear winner there. The Force 1 is a re-branded Bugs 3. Great quad, but not a GPS bird. The HS100 is a brushed motor quad. At that price point, brushed motors just don't make sense. You will want to buy a hobby grade charger and maybe a parallel charge board. With a hobby grade...

    Colored Props

Best way is to buy stock DJI props and dye them with RIT brand fabric dye. Search on YouTube and you can find videos. Also, remember that the DJI factory props aren't always balanced perfectly. A prop balancer is good investment. I'd recommend the DuBro one.

HELP - Visuo xs809w doesn't link to the controller

At this point, I would video with your phone while you go through the turning on and trying to bind process, then contact Gearbest for a replacement. It sounds like an issue with the flight control board.

    Video Editing Software

I"m assuming a WIndows environment. One option to try out is VSDC Free Video Editor. It's not at all user-friendly, but there are a ton of YouTube videos for doing just about anything in it, and it's a very capable video editing software. There is a registered version that is quite affordable...

    Finally won something!

Hmm...I didn't know that. They're not standard 1806 like on the Bugs 3?

    Let's Talk Gimbals

Yours is moving in 3 axes. You just can't control its movement manually in the yaw axis.

    Let's Talk Gimbals

I believe the higher-end DJI birds (Inspire 2 and Matrice) also have 3-axis control on the gimbals, but not positive.

    Let's Talk Gimbals

You can't. You need to yaw the quad to film that shot. And think about it: if you COULD do it, you would be looking at the quad's landing gear a lot in your video.

    Let's Talk Gimbals

Ren is correct: you do have a 3-axis gimbal. What you don't have is manual control of pan. Hold the quad in your hand (with it turned on) and turn it through the yaw axis. You will see that the gimbal moves slower than the quad. The yaw speed is adjustable in the gimbal settings. The 3rd axis...

If you were filming with that in place, it would explain what you were experiencing. That thing interferes with the gimbal's "yaw" movement and the gimbal motor has to overcome the resistance. Definitely don't fly with it on, because you can damage the gimbal motor.

Ok, just a long shot...but you did remove the foam gimbal holder that they put on them for transport, right?

    Ordered a bugs 3

I've asked myself the same question a ton of times. But it takes some digging (quite a bit, actually) to even figure out that: There are two different camera models (even MJX's website lumps them together, and does not explain what is different about them) What the Heck the difference between...

    Ordered a bugs 3

Both the C5820 and C5830 are FPV cameras. The specs are identical, but the exterior is different: one is sized to fit in the Bugs 3 shell (5820) and one is sized for the Bugs 6 (5830). The difference between the two is really poorly documented, and the 5830 is much easier to find. You even have...

Mike, based on this description there is some kind of issue with the gimbal. Are you on Facebook? If so, I'd suggest you join the DJI PHantom 4 Owners Support group and post this (and video, if possible) in there.

    Ordered a bugs 3

Did you get the C5820 or C5830 camera? The 5820 fits stock, the 5830 is really designed for the Bugs 2 & 6 (I think it is) and requires you to cut out the nose end of the Bugs 3 to mount it. I think you will love the Bugs 3. It's an outstanding flyer. I have put an SJCam SJ5000x camera on it...

    Advice on Choosing a Drone

I haven't used Tomtop, but they do have a lot of negative reviews. I've had great luck with Banggood after many orders.

    IMU Calibration Problem

Same here. There's no downside to doing it more often, but as long as you're doing a check pre-flight and it looks good, no real reason to re-calibrate.
