You want to choose the f4pro firmware for that board.

    Question about solder pads

Okay so I tried 4 of these tiny half circle welds, I think they're pretty good lol. Maybe I'll enjoy the half holes when they're bigger? (Lighter added for size comparison I could barely see the welds lol.)

    VTX, FC, and camera connection

Yeah I'm guessing the camera is capable of being controlled by the fc through osd, why you would want that idk but imo still kinda cool lol.

I recommend watching several build videos before you get started. You'll get an idea of what's going on:

    Question about solder pads

@Badfish that build does look clean though I will say, very cool.

    Question about solder pads

It just doesn't seem to have enough surface area for a good weld.

    Question about solder pads

Hello my very cool kwad friends! Got a question about these new "half hole" solder pads (don't know the real term). What is the point of this? Isn't a full pad easier to solder to? How are you supposed to solder to these? Thanx, Doug.

That camera I linked you is made for 3-5 inch builds. I've noticed some of the 5" frames are now designed for micro cameras.

This is a combo I like but it's all personal taste so you'll have to decide things like: Single escs or 4 in 1? 4s battery or 6s battery? Micro camera or mini camera? Vtx on the stack or ziptied you frame? It's all up to you.

This vtx has served me well: https://m.banggood.com/Eachine-TX801-5_8G-72CH-0_01mW-5mW-25mW-50mW-100mW-200mW-400mW-600mW-Switched-AV-VTX-FPV-Transmitter-p-1147691.html?rmmds=search With this camera...

I've built the tyros 69&79 they are both excellent kits but I say piece it together yourself at first, build something truly unique.

Then when you go micro it gets even worse lol I think my 2" tyro has 8000kv motors.

I don't really understand the kv deal either lol. I do know that the higher voltage batteries need lower kv motors. (for a 5" 4s I use 24xx kv where 6s would use 17xx kv roughly.) I'm just a hack lol there are people WAY smarter than me here. My accomplishments only include building 15 or so kwads.

1600 mw vtx is actually illegal to use unless you have a ham licence lol. I usually use 800mw and that is plenty.

There are pros and cons to using 4 in 1 escs as opposed to singles. If one blows the singles are very easy to swap out where as you'll be replacing your whole 4 in 1 board of one blows. Don't buy the zop batteries, almost any other brand is better.

If you want higher quality motors for about $10 more you can get the emax eco motors. I personally use those and love em.

I've used those racerstar 2205 BR2205 2300KV motors before, very powerful. Also the first motors I've ever worn out, the bearings get loose after 100 flights or so but they were VERY fast. I've not tried the mamba stack but they are very popular so they must be doing something right. You don't...
