Do you already have a Tx? I'd suggest the Turnigy, as Fly sky is an attempt to copy Fry Sky brand. You have to get the APM voltage sensor board, but here is a diagram on how to wire it.

Hahaha, that a picture of it from the factory, you might want to reheat the joints if this is what they are advertising. What about ESCs, motors, charger, and a frame?

    first build, 500 frame

Sounds like you have not calibrated your FCB well or you are not taking off from a level surface, ESC syc won't stop you from taking off, and if you did them individually they should be fine. Also the KK does not have altitude hold, though if you tune the height dampening really well it will...

Some ideas on a project - lifting a heavy body - no need to be very nimble

Probably be plastic as it is a collectors item that probably should not be crashed hahahaha. I am afraid to say that you might have to use hobby grade parts if you can't afford too many spills. Is the "star destroyer" a cheap toy or collector's item?

    Motor shafts

If you have some 3mm rod you can use it, as many motors come with a collar that has a set screw. Otherwise @ringolong's second link should work.

    Motor shafts

Go for it! haha. The shafts might be a little harder than mild steel, but I managed to straiten one on a bearing press, then stick it in a vice and finish it off by tapping it. Get it to where you are pretty sure it is strait and then roll it on a really flat surface like a piece of steel...

Some ideas on a project - lifting a heavy body - no need to be very nimble

Never saw your question show up in new post (why it slipped by us haha), but to answer your question, it is unlikely that you can build one at that, and anything else would be a toy grade. How much you need to lift?

    ESC advice

Depends, some 4-in-1 ESCs you can, but in facebook groups I have been hearing of a lot of different problems with the 4-in-1 ESCs.

Buy a battery with an XT60 connector, a lot more available, and accessories will be more apt to work with them. Yes, you should get a voltage sensor, any little buzzer will be fine. Can you give a part list and a list of what you are trying to accomplish so we can help you as you need it?
