    You might want to look at this for your FPV gear, it is a bit more updated and has very similar parts for cheaper. DON'T get the Quantum V1 goggles, the Quantum V2 is a LOT better and for about the same price. Really nice radio controller, as he mentioned you don't need one that nice. Be...

    Hahaha, you might want to invest in an electric iron for really small wires or PCB.

    Quad still wont take off properly.

    Autolevel, if your using a KK, and yes, but you might have to tune it.

    I agree that Hakko is by far one of the best brands, depends what type of quality you want for your money verses functionality for your money. If you get a real Hakko you have a good iron, and the older Weller stuff is also great.

    No, I'm too heavy!

    You over prop them?

    No, I'm too heavy!

    Here are some nice motors, if you're going for longer flight times, and here are some nice ones for just flying, they have decent flight times. For a camera quad you'd be better off to buy 6 or 8 cheaper motors and make a hex or oct. A lot more stable, loads of thrust, and redundancy in the...

    Vacuum pumps make the guns run a bit higher, not for filtering air as much as it is desoldering, but that one is a great setup. A lot more bang for your buck vs a pen. Get either a list of what you want from a quad, or a part list to the best of your ability and we can help.

    ~$300 First Build

    Here is a nice cheap station for PCB and the like and here is a really nice Weller iron for bigger wires. I have used both, and REALLY like the Weller one, I have used it for 12 hours of continuous usage and have used it a lot for a few years, it was old when I got it and it is still going...

    RTF = Ready to Fix?

    Thanks, I found it a really important topic that could use a little clearing the fog around it up.

    RTF = Ready to Fix?

    Can you do a video chat when you hook it up? I'd like to walk you through connecting and if you have a multi-meter (voltage tester) a continuity test.

    RTF = Ready to Fix?

    Sounds like a 5v+ got shorted with a ground, but you'd have to be reckless hahaha

    RTF = Ready to Fix?

    Did they use standoffs properly? Anything touch the back of the board? CF is really conductive.
