Two fried motors on my first flight

First. Do you have experience flying already? If not it would be wise to get an RTF quad to learn on. For ideas on building just google " quadcopter build guide" and start reading. The amount of info out there can be overwhelming.Take your time. Once you decide the type of quad you want to build...

Cheerson CX-20 Propeller And RTH Help

I just got the Quanum Nova. HK's version of the CX20. I've only flown it a couple of times and it has performed as advertised so far. Read over this website review. http://www.sciautonics.com/cheerson-cx-20-auto-pathfinder-review/ The last part is interesting. Apparently there were many clones...

Anyone check out this web site?

Yeah. It says don't buy from them! Cool name though.

    Any opinion on this...

The hubsan is still a mini quad so any breeze over walking speed is gonna move it around. If your budget permits and you fly outside a lot maybe something a bit larger would do you better. Maybe 180mm-200mm range. Dromida, Blade, Helimax etc. all have affordable options with good quality in that...

HAha! We're out of sync again....

    Part list (will this work?)

I know what you mean. Ask GJH105775. He is an electrical engineer as well and can tell you that reality doesn't often match the measurements. For example; I have a RTF Quannum Nova 360mm with add on FPV. AUW is 1150g with a 3s 3000mah battery. I regularly get 21-22 minutes flight time if I'm...

    Part list (will this work?)

I think you will be pleasantly surprised on flight time. Check out some of the online racing videos. These guys go flat out for 5 minutes on 1200mah batteries! Ecalc is great as a guide but is about as accurate as a weather forecast.:p The reason for going 20a on the esc is it will run cooler...

    Part list (will this work?)

The 15a draw you plugged into ecalc is the motors running at 100% for the entire flight. You are more likely to operate at a third of that for the flight. Your 3000 mah battery will probably give 20 + minute flight times if you're just cruising around and not flying aggressively. I thought you...

Two fried motors on my first flight

The DJI motor pack is way to large for a 250 class quad. If you have no desire to race and you like the idea of the DJI power system then go for a 350mm to 500mm kit. That will be more stable and easier to fly than a 250mm which can be a little twitchy. Check out the Hobby King website. They had...

Two fried motors on my first flight

Wow! That's a big battery. Have you tried just popping it up quickly to get out of ground effect and then see if it hovers easily? It will still wander a bit unless you are in GPS mode. It should be easy to control manually though, even without GPS mode engaged. I would follow Jacksons advice...

    Any opinion on this...

The Hubsan H107 is one of the most popular small quads flown by members on this site. It has a good rep both for flying and reliability. There are lots of member posts on repair and modifications. Has a lot of parts availability. Another plus is you can fly it indoors!

    Very First Build Parts List

The HK ESC's can be a little "noisy". 20a ESC's will run cooler and add negligible weight.

    Part list (will this work?)

Hi, parman. Welcome. 2 things I noticed right off: The props won't work with those motors. You need a single hole with a hub. The battery is way to large. A 30c 1600mah 3s or about that size is what you need. I couldn't access the whole ebay website for your country so I am unsure about the...
