Hi all
New to building quads, been flying them for a while - I understand a lot of the technology having been an electronics enthusiast a while. Hoping some more experienced RC users can help me out with this parts list I've put together and let me know everything is compatible and a good fit.
Frame: Spidex 220
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...d_Copter_By_Quaternium_KIT_UK_Warehouse_.html Will probably install a Mobius camera into it later on, not bothered for FPV flight on my first build. Just want to learn and get something functioning.
Flight Controller: Naze32
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...ontroller_Soldered_version_Vertical_Pin_.html What are peoples general opinions on this controller? This is my first time, so ideally not after something I have to program too much (Minimal if possible.)
Motors: Turnigy 1806
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...y_1806_2280kv_Emax_Motor_Set_Of_4_CW_CCW.html This is probably the area I understand least on drones, are these motors suitable?
Props: These for front: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...or_ABS_Propellers_One_Pair_CW_CCW_Black_.html
and these for rear?: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...ltirotor_Propellers_One_Pair_CW_CCW_RED_.html
Battery: Turnigy 1300mah 3S. Not too bothered too much about flight time, can always upgrade this later
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__9493__Turnigy_1300mAh_3S_30C_Lipo_Pack.html
Battery charger: imax b6. Sure everyone is familiar with this, I think this is suitable for most LIPOs
Controller:
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/..._Module_8ch_Receiver_Mode_2_v2_Firmware_.html This has been another area that has confused me a bit, I understand the need for extra channels so I may aswell get a decent one now. Does this unit come with a receiver which I will connect to the Naze32? What kind of range would I expect?
Power distributor:
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/..._Power_Distribution_Board_AUS_Warehouse_.html Is the Distribution board just a method of keeping your build tidy? Rather than soldering cables together, I terminate the ends with 3.5mm bullets and connect them to this board which then connect to the ESCs and then to the motors?
ESCs:
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__73079__Hobbywing_X_Rotor_ESC_20amp.html I think a 10a ESC would be enough, but I could get these just to be sure?
Any help is greatly appreciated, if all is good I shall go ahead and purchase these units.
