    Should I be concerned?

Right, in the i6 menu, failsafe is supposed to rise if necessary, return to home coordinates, and land. Especially when accidentally flown out of range, or Tx gets turned off, the bird is SUPPOSED to just come home. (in a perfect world, I guess) Now, I did have the throttle hold set on Sw C...

    Should I be concerned?

"As long as your escs are calibrated it should be fine." Yeah, about that. In all my set up procedures, I've never yet found an option or utility to calibrate the escs. In a nutshell, this is what I've put together so far: Alien Bee carbon fiber frame Naza M lite w/gps JRelics A2212/13T...

    Should I be concerned?

Had great success with my first build today. The Naza M Lite allowed me a successful dance, recognized sufficient satelites, and seemed agreeable to an airborne adventure. With no props on the motors, I moved the sticks to extremes, the motors armed, and I was in control! WOO HOO...

    can't get any altitude.

Just a quick update on this thread. The Turnigy TB6B charger made all the difference, even restored the batts I thought I had toasted. The little Discovery flies as well as it ever did, even better since I found out that the plastic blade guard will easily snap off of the frame arms. After...

    ??? about lipo batteries

Have learned a lot about the lipos in the past weeks. Received a charger, Turnigy TB6B, and made all the difference in the world from the cheap little usb charger I was using. The Turnigy also restored the 1S cells I thought I had ruined. As a side note, I was playing around with my first...

    Screwy question

I hope someone in this forum can help me. I'm dealing with Jrelics A2212 1000KV motors. I need to get some mounting screws to attach them to the carbon fiber arms of my Bee. The major diameter of the screws (across the top of the threads) measured .116" with my calipers. Metric conversion...

    can't get any altitude.

That's always a possibility. But I just received my new Tenergy balance charger this evening, so I'll be busy for a while.

    can't get any altitude.

An update on this. I had checked the voltage on the 2 new batteries after attempting to fly with them. They hadn't drained very much, so I floated the thing above the floor for a couple of minutes on each battery, let them cool, then put them on the charger. In about 60 minutes, they had...

    can't get any altitude.

Here we go again. I got a Discovery HD U818-1-P in December. It was flying very well when weather permitted. After a while the bird got to the point where it just couldn't climb. I'd just seem to ride on the ground bubble. I knew I had really worn the 2 batteries that came with it...

    ??? about lipo batteries

Thanks for the link holtneil, I'll check it out. If I can run the program on my laptop, I can throw the screen up on to the large TV. Sounds like it could be fun as well as useful. maybe expensive too.

Took a closer look at the Spektrum, and there is a plug in the back. I might have to look into this a little deeper. could be some fun.

I checked out Freerider, looks interesting. IMMEDIATELY checked out my Spectrum DX5, sadly, no USB on that puppy. But I've got a new radio on the way, perhaps it will have USB.

    ??? about lipo batteries

OK, Now this would explain the mystery about why they arrived seemingly "overcharged". Too windy to fly today, and it's snowing out there now, so I'm just coolin' my jets. Perhaps tonight I'll get some more of the parts and pieces for my Bee.

Thanks for the input Tylor. Information to file in my RAM. And the older I get, the more random my memory gets.

    ??? about lipo batteries

I'm still confused about these darn lipos. All I've been able to research on line says don't overcharge them and don't drain them too much (with varying opinions on how much is too much). To store them charge them to about half capacity. ? I think. I've recently received no less than 7 new...
