Hi,
Could anyone recommend uprated motors for a x5c.
I dont know if there is a upgrade and if there is where do i buy from.
Very new to drone flying but absolutely love it

There really is no upgrade motors you can take advantage of using the stock transmitter.

If youre wanting an upgrade thinking the motor set might last longer then thats not going to happen.

Replacement motors are as good as any...they are 7mm with 9 tooth pinions attached..AVOID motors with brass or metal gears attached.

If you can wait 30 days you can buy 4 replacement motors for $5.00

Ok thanks, i just wondered thats all as i bought some replacement motors for last drone (before i lost it lol) and they were slightly more heavy which i found better as it made the drone more stable.
But these were a ebay buy and seller no longer exists

If they are 7mm motors and were used on a quad with gears they should work as long as the gears on them are 9 tooth.

For replacement motors for your Syma x5c-1, check out some Ebay sellers. I have 3 x5c-1s (I like them:)) and have been through a ton of motors. Got all 4 replacements as a set for about 6 bucks, free shipping. And it's a USA-based seller. Had them at my door in 4 days.

Original syma motors are actually considered of good quality...The only considered "high quality" motors built are Chaoli motors but,they are very expensive for brushed motors...When SYMA came out with the X1 a while back it was rumored that they sourced motors through Chaoli...Not 100 percent confirmed but on some independent testing the X1 motors were among the most powerful motors you could get with a quad back then..Even by todays standards they would stand out among other 7mm motors power wise...Well, actually Hubsan and Syma motors

What some dont know is ,a motor chosen to power a "geared" quad are not the same as ones chosen to power a "direct drive" quad....The power and torque curve and at what rpm different quite a bit between them...Syma geared motors arent a good choice for direct drive as hubsan motors arent for geared quads.

Motors designed for geared quads typically have a lower maximum rpm but create higher torque...The gearing compensates for lack of rpm but keeps its torque.

Done some research on the last motors.....
Turns out they were 22mm×8mm motors hence why they were heavier
Like i said i preferred these as it made the drone more stable when hovering and less skittish. Just a shame i lost the drone
