    Help needed please

Both of these look like decent products IMO and fair for the price just figured throw another thing out there the DJI Mavic Mini they just came out with the mini 2 so can get the original one on ebay for a bit of a deal if you shop around and are willing to spend the time bidding etc. (also...

EMAX EZ Pilot FPV Drone review for beginners

Enjoyed your internal thoughts overlay as text (and overall presentation) and think this is a great way for folks on a budget to get into the hobby. I always advocate for the brushless motor versions of things just cause they last so much longer but seems like a pretty good starter kit. Thanks...

    getting into fpv

My FrSky receiver gives me RSSI and has warned me of low signal strength on my OpenTX remote a couple of times now that I think about it but only ever the one fail safe. Generally I fly with Spektrum satellite receivers cause I like the auto binding but recently have tried some others just to...

    getting into fpv

I think link quality is the one the pros say is more of a standard. RSSI is typically sent by your TX on a channel like its a stick or a switch and in betaflight in the receiver tab it has an option for which channel to consider RSSI. If in that tab you see a channel bouncing around especially...

    getting into fpv

Unlikely that max current was accurate. You'll need to calibrate the current sensing or have escs that report current back to the FC either with bidirectional d-shot (I think it supports current readings from esc back to the FC) or with dedicated wire from esc to FC (usually marked as...

Dithering, which way to go digital dji, or something else ?

Yup I have the hdos that came out before these attitude oled goggles but do really like the oled, having the high contrast is nice for sure.

    Tyro 89 vtx issues

Yah usually it's antennae that broke loose but can be hard to diagnose or find where the break is usually will spend like 20-30 min on something like that then if can't seem to resolve start to weigh the time sink trying to fix vs just buying replacement part. Can always put it in a box of...

    getting into fpv

Not comparing myself to these guys since they are pro and I am weekend warrior, but here's what one of mine looks like where I was just trying to get some cool shots of this local landmark and historic site turned museum:

    getting into fpv

Yah think for fast but smooth cinematic shots acrobatic flight can be good since can lock the angle and center the sticks and the quad will continue on the current trajectory the trick is making it looks smooth since any input on the sticks results in motion on the quad (diving mountains for...

    Internal Lipo Storage (EV800D)

Yah would also say getting down to exactly half isn't too important so long as not fully charged and then stored you'll still be doing the battery and yourself a favor by getting it nearer to 50% or a bit less, really just damaging to the cells to fully charge and then leave on a shelf for...

UK Restricted AirSpace, what to do?

I'd say it can't hurt to check with local airports if in the zone but my guess is they wouldn't care about anything sub 250g at all and if flying at parks around or under tree level then I don't think it's any sort of safety concern. That said better to know what will be enforced, also remember...

Dithering, which way to go digital dji, or something else ?

Regarding Jumper T16, it's what I use as well and like mine plenty really. It does burn the rechargable 18650 cells faster than I'd like but otherwise it's a solid transmitter. The hand size shouldn't be a major issue honestly I'm also not a big person (only like 5'4" and 125lbs wet) but if...

    Need help on quad

Actually strapped down too tight can be a problem too but usually results in the quad jerking around rather than tilting if there is any accelerometer or imu calibration you can do that may help but it generally shouldn't really need the compass or gps to just fly that said I really have no...

Dithering, which way to go digital dji, or something else ?

Yup I actually have one of the adapters but haven't hooked it up yet just cause want to print or otherwise get and put some sort of mount on the goggles but should basically be able to select if seeing digital feed from goggle receiver or switch to the input the analog module uses to feed video...

    Need help on quad

It sounds like either FC mounting issue (getting too many vibrations into the FC causing bad data from accelerometer/gyros) or otherwise like IMU isn't working as intended but hard to say. If Naza/DJI offers some kind of blackbox logging that can help to see if it is seeing the quad as tilted...

    Internal Lipo Storage (EV800D)

Hiya welcome to the hobby/forum. Agree with @holtneil regarding a way to determine safe voltage just need to know the number of cells which is pretty easy to work out if you can see the voltage in goggles. Also modding things is pretty big in this hobby and getting in there to see what battery...

I’m literally dying trying to get this in the air

Need to get onto some kind of live chat to get live feedback while working through it. I know botgrinder has a discord but if joshua bardwell or one of the other big youtube fpv guys has one and you prefer their content suggest you go there and see if can find some community members who can...

Dithering, which way to go digital dji, or something else ?

Hiya yup this can work fine actually. There are a few adapter sets out there that allow you to hook up a regular analog receiver to the DJI goggles so they can actually act as both Digital and Analog goggles if willing to dump a bit more money into the money pit :D...
