That’s pretty cool for 12 bucks. We’ve got a family reunion type beach trip coming up in June. I think I’ll be looking around for a couple cheap quads to let the little nieces and nephews play with that I don’t worry if they crash in the ocean or fill it with sand. :D

That’s awesome, Ten! Even though I knew they were in your yard, my brain kept saying that looks actual size. I can’t imagine how much time went into getting that put together. Probably expensive on the wallet too, but I imagine the time might be more shocking than the cost.

Haven't seen that one, Torc. But I think your CX-30 will still see some love. Not an expert, but I would think for flying around the yard, brushless would be just fine for getting you started. As we've discussed in other threads, some of this stuff is harder than it looks and it's great to have...

Hopefully you are pleasantly surprised. Different quad, but my new controller has a 2900mah battery. Yesterday, I flew almost an hour on 3 batteries in the quad and the remote indicated 74% battery level when done.

Similar smoking story here with my dad, except it was 12. You should have seen the fury in mom's eyes when he added "I think I started smoking pot a little after that". LOL. He realized his mistake as soon as the words exited his lips. Dads are right up their with grandpas for awesome stories...

My grandfather used to sing-song "Here we go on the pickle boat" every time we drove over a bridge, large or small. My brother and I would always laugh, although we never did figure out what it was about. Cheers to all the grandpas and grandmas out there!

Yesterday, TinySpork and HolySpork were introduced to the newest member of the family, AirSpork. They were impressed that AirSpork could fold up his arms and hide inside a case. TinySpork laughed and said he was smaller and could hide in a case less than half that size. HolySpork just sat there...
