I feel your pain. Hopefully you get a little fun in amongst the projects and "yes, dears". :p We just finished a month and a half of weekends re-painting and other projects just before Christmas. I'm resting up a bit as when the weather gets a bit nicer, I'll be doing the same to the exterior...

As usual, great stuff, James. I think I saw on your YT channel that you fly a 6" quad for your freestyle vids. Can you share a bit on your opinion of the difference between 5" and 6" and/or why you prefer the 6?

I think the other version he reviewed (which I did not post) uses straps and probably why it's weight is closer to 60g. The red ones above look better for floating as the 60g ones use rubber/plastic balls. As you say, it seems that the straps might be a great idea for this one.

Thanks for the review - may be something to think about if I get brave enough to fly over/near water.

You would be correct. My son happened to be coming up the stairs during the crash and was laughing at both the crash and my cursing.

I think my expectations for video drone footage are different than typical freestyle drone footage. I really liked it and will learn how to do it myself, because it does seem very useful when used in the right places. Thanks for the eye opener.

Gotcha - I've been wondering about the difference between the 5 and 6 inch quads. Will be interested in watching your build and checking out your opinion after you get some flight time.

I checked out this drone model on amazon. It had 2 video links, one was missing and the other is 72op. Are you sure you saw footage from this quad? Most of the good footage I've seen on youtube is people flying with RunCam3 or GoPro for their HD footage.

Yes, you can adjust it in BetaFlight. SLFLY - mentioned in his post above. I would fix that before I worry about the tilt pictures matching. When it is correct, the picture in Betaflight should tilt just like the quad in your hand - assuming you have the nose pointing the same direction as the...
