No you got it all wrong lol (sorry I'm laughing WITH you) you have to hook up your kwad (drone) to betaflight and set up an arm switch on the kwad, not your radio. There are videos on youtube, just type in "tinyhawk frysky setup" should pop right up.

Try the jumper t8 or t12, they're fairly cheep and mine works great with the frsky d16 protocol but d8 is there too.

Yep sounds like you're trying to bind two transmitters, it don't work that way. You have to bind your qx7 to a reciever.

I've done the 10 channel mod, it's necessary if you want to have rssi displayed in your osd. Also it will allow you to use all your switches and sliders for things like turtle mode or turning on/off leds. Well worth it.
