    Hello from Hawaii

Starting out everyone always says "not into fpv" but after getting bored flying line of site in angle mode you start to realize fpv in acro mode is when the real fun starts lol. Welcome! :D

Bought a homemade drone what now?

It's older parts but if everything works you got a good deal. The fc looks like a naze 32 once considered top of the line. The ESCs are only 12 amp so you're probably not gonna be able to use over a 3s battery. Can't really see the motors but they're brushless so that's good. Looks like a fun...

Millennium Falcon XL Drone Test Flight

Very nice! So that means you must have ditched the brushed motors for brushless, installed a new fcb, and escs. Can you even call it an airhogs anymore?

Tips on PID tuning / rates for higher elevation (Denver)

If you want to stay micro but still have the power, no worries. These psychos have been building 6s 3 inchers lol. The kwad world is WAY more daring than the heli world:

Tips on PID tuning / rates for higher elevation (Denver)

Think of it as on a heli you can pitch your props steeper but if your motor battery combo can't handle it you'll hit the ground. You can't expect 450 power out of a 90 copter.

Tips on PID tuning / rates for higher elevation (Denver)

I used to fly helis too lol still want to when I get the time but yeah they are different animals. On my limited knowledge of helis I remember most of the tuning was on the tx. That is not the case with kwads. You need to plug into betaflight and adjust your pids. It's a skill on it's own. The...

Beautiful country up there in Canada! Love!!

    T36s bind problem

Most FCs will accept bf or cf, your choice. Usually I'll select betaflight but if it's an older board longer supported by bf, cleanflight 2.5 works just as well as betaflight 3.7. It's the betaflight 4.xx that is questionable although the times I've used it it worked exceptionally well. P.S...

Millennium Falcon XL Drone Test Flight

    RX Lost on TinyHawk 2...?

I know nothing about the tinyhawks but if it's an aio board with built in receiver you might have to replace the whole board. Other than that you can check to see if maybe the rx antenna came loose. Common problem with crashes.

    T36s bind problem

Yes that's what I forgot to mention the tx will only say "binding complete" if the receiver sends an rssi signal. Versatile but confusing lol.

    T36s bind problem

So do we get details lol? Did you have to switch protocols? Turn your receiver/tx on off in a certain sequence? How did you get it to bind?

    T36s bind problem

@T121DKY I've encountered aio tiny whoop boards with built in fs receivers that say they'll bind with afhds2a protocol but it turns out only afhds will work and it was very particular in the order that you had to bind tx, bind kwad, and even turning your tx off and unplugging your kwad in the...

    T36s bind problem

@wafflejock if the receiver send rssi I don't see how that world work because the tx would be receiving multiple signals and would probably get confused lol. However I'm willing to bet using receivers that don't send rssi such as the FS-A8S could bind with one tx and multiple receivers. I've...

    T36s bind problem

Funny thing about the fsi6, it actually uses two different protocols. These afhds afhds2a. They are not compatible with each other. Try going into settings and switch your tx to afhds mode. Then turn your radio on holding the bind button, then turn your kwad on holding the bind button. If...

    T36s bind problem

Well did you fly today post videos here

The syma x5s are well known in the kwad world (at least they used to be). They are great for beginners/learning/getting your feet wet in the kwad world. Basically a fancy toy but they are well built and work good. Recommended for newbies.
