I'm having issues with my quadcopter's motors. I'm using Racestar BR 2205 brushless motors, but when I mount them to the frame and test the motors in Cleanflight, they spin slowly and make a rubbing/grinding like noise (I'll attach a video). But when I unscrew the motor from the frame and test it in my hand they spin perfectly fine. I've checked to make sure that all the screws are not touching the windings, also it's all the motors, not just one. Also to confirm that it isn't the screws I taped the motor down with double-sided sticky tape and the same issue arose. My assumption is that for some reason when the motors can move around they work but when strapped down they don't. Can someone let me know if there is anything I can do?
I've tried soft-mounting with tape, creating stands to screw the motors in on an elevated surface, I even used heat shrink around the screws so that it didn't touch the frame to conduct electricity. I've narrowed the issue down to when the motors are mounted it doesn't seem to matter if they are screwed it. I also tested what would happen if I held it freely but tapped the bottom and it works so it doesn't matter if the bottom is covered as long as it isn't mounted which makes no sense.
Heres my full set up:
Motors: Racestar BR 2205
ESC: Hobbypower 30a Brushless Speed Controller Esc
FC: Cleanflight SP Racing F3 Acro
I'm also using a FS-R6B Rx which has been a pain of its own because I have to use single channels but that's a different issue.
