Yeah, I suggest getting a cheap toy grade before crashing a more expensive one. Here is a nice one for learning on, REALLY cheap. Here is one that I have used, it flys great too. (fits in your hand) Here is one that is on it's way for me to test, s o I should have a video later this month...

Here is a nice one for learning on, REALLY cheap. Here is one that I have used, it flys great too. (fits in your hand) Here is one that is on it's way for me to test, s o I should have a video later this month, or early in June. (the long arms make it look flimsy and not as durable, so I'd...

I was looking through the parts, first thing I see wrong is a four gang ESC, they are usually terrible in construction and won't last like single ESCs that have uBECs. The transmitter can be anything on this link just about, you want mode 2, and no cheaper than the Hobby King $26 one. I'd...

Welcome to the forums. Two questions: How much time can you afford to wait for parts, and what kind of budget do you have?

In short a heli is a little different than a quad in how it flys

Radio shack sells toy grade quads I think, or they have a couple anyways.

Yeah, the orientation is the hardest part, what the guy did in the video was like driving a unicycle on a slack line; it took a lot of practice, and a couple years of experience. Also you will crash the first bit a lot, but a little one does not cost as much to repair, and is not as bad in a...

    First Build

Frame, (unless you are going do DIY), Power distribution cable/board I suggest getting 25-30 amp ESCs, as a tip I'd suggest getting everything from Hobbyking in one order, as shipping will kill you. I paid over $100 in shipping doing it in burst and buying from more than one seller. Also...

If you want something to practice on, be best to get a cheap $25-$40 RTF that is toy grade. That way when (not if) you crash it you can repair it cheap.

Motors are spinning fast with props that have a lot of pitch. Mine is a flying tank, but when I set the throttle way up it can go up like a rocket. (370mm with aluminium frame). {Edit} I would suggest you get a toy grade to practice on while you build this one, and are waiting for parts.

    Need help finding parts!

Haha, first off: welcome to the forums! Second this is something that has gone viral and I am sure many people are going to be wanting one, so I may end up sticky-ing this for a little bit if we get a full part list. Just by looking I would say that this could be done with a 6S setup. 6S...

Can I have some help opening vidoes?

Try with a different program. What version of Windows are you using? And how are you plugging the camera in? You should be able to go to "my computer", click the SD card "Drive_x", x (is to be replaced with whatever letter is assigned. ) Once you view the pictures/videos as files just...

Why go with tilted motors like that? More yaw authority?

Could be a hardware fault. If so you should try to get some credits from HK.
