Need help finding parts!

Hey guys so I was watching this video on youtube about this crazy fast quadricopter:

I wanted to know what parts I need and everything but I'm new to all this and don't know at all the parts names. The name of the parts is listed on the title. I tried searching but couldn't get anything up because i assume it's not the full name of the parts.

Here is the list the guy put in the video:
minicp120 x2208 2000kv 6x4.5 hqprop kiss esc 18a nanowii 4s1800 40c

can anyone possibly give me links to any of these parts?

Haha, first off: welcome to the forums!

Second this is something that has gone viral and I am sure many people are going to be wanting one, so I may end up sticky-ing this for a little bit if we get a full part list.

Just by looking I would say that this could be done with a 6S setup. 6S meaning that they battery would be 6 cells in Series, for LiPos that would be over 22.2v, closer to 24.0v when fully charged.


First you'll need to find your motors, high KV will work, or higher voltage motors will work.

Here are some real screamers.

Here is an ESC that will handle those motors, and is flashed with Simon K

I'd suggest 6x4 props.

Look at this list of FCs to decide what you want.

As for the battery a 3s will work, just need to decide what size you want, I'd suggest getting more than one lower capacity batteries, to be able to swap out and not have performance degrade.

And you'll need a frame to accommodate it all.

Someone else may have a better idea on how this can be accomplished, and that is what the forums are about haha.

So what makes it go so fast? Is it the battery, the motors or what?

Motors are spinning fast with props that have a lot of pitch.

Mine is a flying tank, but when I set the throttle way up it can go up like a rocket. (370mm with aluminium frame).

I would suggest you get a toy grade to practice on while you build this one, and are waiting for parts.

Can you recommend any super cheap parts so that I can use it as a practice build? I would like something around 100$ if that's even possible.....

If you want something to practice on, be best to get a cheap $25-$40 RTF that is toy grade. That way when (not if) you crash it you can repair it cheap.

Yeah, the orientation is the hardest part, what the guy did in the video was like driving a unicycle on a slack line; it took a lot of practice, and a couple years of experience. Also you will crash the first bit a lot, but a little one does not cost as much to repair, and is not as bad in a crash.

oh ok what about the rc helicopters in radioshack? Because have a card for radioshack with about 10 or 20 dollars in and could just use that haha......if not which ones do you think are good?

Here is a nice one for learning on, REALLY cheap.

Here is one that I have used, it flys great too. (fits in your hand)


Here is one that is on it's way for me to test, s o I should have a video later this month, or early in June. (the long arms make it look flimsy and not as durable, so I'd suggest one of the others above)
