    out of range syma x5sc

The wobbling can be cause by it only getting the signal part of the time, but it should have better range than that.

To test take it in your hand and put the throttle up, then turn off the Tx. This will show you what the fail safe is set to do.

Think this Helicopter could be hacked and rebuilt?

You'd need some way to make the tail rotor act different if it is a gyro copter. I am no expert (nor am I competent xD) but if I remember right the tail rotor faces up for a gyrocopter and to the left for a helicopter. Neil will know. @holtneil

Difference between a toy and a hobby quad

The big difference is the modular designs and the difference that you look for is what type of motors are used, 3-phase, if so they have three wires and an ESC. The parts on Hobby grade are interchangeable between about all other hobby grade quads, though they might be the wrong size (15 amp...

STEM big drone project-Help needed fast!!!

ecalc specs include load, it shows how much weight you should be able to lift near the bottom left, also the flight time is going to be pretty low, if you could use a VTOL design you could feasibly do this, other wise you just need to make it a little bigger and use more battery, though I'd...

NEED HELP!! Problem with ESC's not calibrating

Did the prop touch the ground while it was trying to spin, also do you know how te reverse the direction a 3-phase motor spins?

Imagine a quad with those motors and rotors? 3D and could life a few hundred pounds haha

STEM big drone project-Help needed fast!!!

Well the starting price for a hobby grade is around $250, and to lift 2-4 kg you could do that for around $500 reasonably. I'd say 800k/v motors with 14''x4.7 props would do it.

    $400 to spend, any ideals

Hahaha yes foam does tend to catch wind pretty bad, the small quads will take a bunch of bumps, but bigger quads really cost if you crash them haha.

STEM big drone project-Help needed fast!!!

Haha, if you try to lift this much it becomes illegal really fast, in the US the max is 50ibs I imagine the UK is not much off.

STEM big drone project-Help needed fast!!!

I assume your asking about 7kg of weight, for starters it is going to need to a be a octocopter (an X8 would take up less space), and still have to use pretty big motors. Use aluminium and fibre glass for the frame, but if you crash this thing even from a lower height it won't be pretty packing...
