    HELP..First Flight issues

Looks like you need to check that your ESCs are plugged into the board correctly and more likely that one motor needs to be reversed. To reverse a motor simply switch any of the two of three wires between the ESC and the motor. CW======CCW || || CCW=====CW

Questions on First Quadcopter, Compatibility, Part Quality, Etc.

The ecalc website is a calculator that will allow you to calculate thrust for a motor, and give you an idea what props you need. If you are going to fly over crowds then I'd suggest you make a hexacopter (6 props), as you will have a bit of redundancy in the event of a failure. This will...

    KK 2.15 ESC's Beeping Problem...Needs Solution..!

That sound is saying that it is in standby and ready, have you tried to disarm the KK board? Go into your settings and under receiver test make sure that all of your sticks are the right way and at 0 (you will do this before every flight). To arm it hold the left stick (mode 2) down and to...

Questions on First Quadcopter, Compatibility, Part Quality, Etc.

Well you probably don't need it to be this big, so you could move to a little smaller motors. Is this going to be flown over crowds? Also a Runcam camera may be an option for you in place of a GoPro. Play around a big on here with props, and if you can't find a motor just use a similar...

Questions on First Quadcopter, Compatibility, Part Quality, Etc.

The motors are designed for a 4S-6S battery and with a 400KV running 3S you'd never get off the ground. They are REALLY nice motors if you want to build a bigger quadcopter. Do you want to make a racer or make a quadcopter for photography? If you are planning to make one to lift a lot...

    Newbie - Motor Hunting

Be sure to get a flashing tool, the stevies 1.8 firmware is really good. It really beats the HK firmware 10:1.

A cheap HKTR6a transmitter and receiver could save you a lot of money, and would work really well. I have one and it will have a range that goes further than I go even with FPV haha. http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=9042

Possible, yes. But it is not practical, it will cost about the same as you'd need to have a bluetooth reciever and a way to turn that into PWN for the flight controller to understand. The range would also be REALLY short with any type of 802.15 standards.

Trouble calibrating SimonK ESC's with HKPilot 2.7

You can just plug the ESC PWM wires into the reciever's throttle channel and do them one at a time.

Trouble calibrating SimonK ESC's with HKPilot 2.7

Can you provide a small parts list? Your supposed to enable throttle pass-through with the throttle down, then put the throttle all the way up. After you do this power it.

Two fried motors on my first flight

For one your battery is too big, you could use a 5200 10C battery just fine haha. APM draws a lot of power, you may also need a bigger BEC.

    Best live feed drone

Sure, but the challenge would be keeping it from getting knocked around and getting it in a good place to see.

    who can design this?

There are 2.4ghz transmitters that can plug into a computer, so you could do it with just a laptop, or with "Chip" the 9$ computer

    who can design this?

It is very possible, you can have a laptop tell the copter what to do, so either have a laptop ground station, or put it on the quad. You'd use a Rasbery Pi (or a computer) to tell a modified transmitter to send the signals. You could also incorporate a charging doc in the ground station...

    Modification

It would be possible with an Arduino as a way to translate the fading DC to a PWM signal. But the problem will come as you'll find that the PID settings were for a smaller copter. There are many flight controllers for cheaper than a you could get a mini quad take a look at the KK2.1.5

Two fried motors on my first flight

9450 props and a Multistar 10000mah 4S 10C battery. Are you taking off at 100% thrust? If this is a quad then it is probably a little too heavy.

    Recommendation wanted

" I need to switch from one to the other when in flight." Switch what? Have you heard of FPV, it is possible to transmit data from a gopro to the ground, you can use a screen or goggles if you want. Here is a GoPro transmitter, you may find one cheaper. Take a look at this post, it was...
