NEED HELP!! Problem with ESC's not calibrating

My set up is as follows using Cleanflight and PPM
Nighthawk 250 pro
EMAX Motors with SimonK series ESC's
Naze32 board
CC3D PDB
D4r-ii Rx
Taranis X9D Plus Tx

Everything is wired up correctly, I am using PPM on the d4r-ii with a jumper on 3/4. I callibrated the ESC's correctly using cleanflight (power off, turn master up to full, power on, wait for 2 beeps, turn master all the way down, followed by the correct beeping/noise) the problem is when I use the master to power up the motors, the motors aren't in sinc... motor one especially I can tell starts up later then the others. I thought maybe it would correct itself but when i tested in the driveway it flipped over on itself right away. After recalibrating over and over I have no realized that ESC motor 1 is getting hot and now the motor is not working at all but other 3 motors are working fine... I rechecked the wiring over and over and all looks good... does anyone have any suggestions????

Did the prop touch the ground while it was trying to spin, also do you know how te reverse the direction a 3-phase motor spins?

yes I am sure it did touch the ground, but I was having problems with ESC 1 lagging behind the other motors when in cleanflight doing the motor calibration...after calibration if I use my taranis Tx to increase throttle a bit all the motors were out of sync... 2 of them would slowly keep winding up even when I wasnt increasing the throttle... any ideas?

I meant to say I was having these issues before I tested it in driveway... I thought maybe it would kick up once I got it up in the air to level itself.. yea that wasn't the case... it flipped right over. I am going to re-wire everything tomorrow and maybe instead of PPM I will just hook up all 3 wires from each ESC into Naze32 and see if I still get the same problem...

Oh and to answer your question, I did make sure that all the motors were spinning the correct way.

Sounds like slow start it enabled on 2 of them. Do you have a programming card, or flash tool?

No I don't :/ whats the process for that? I ordered 4 new Emax SimonK Esc's... the same as whatI have been using... I am going to just try using the 4 new ones when they come and hook up all 3 wires from each instead of using ppm and see what happens. How will I know for sure if these ESC's are all flashed the same? Also I was wondering, is there a way to test an esc and motor with just a battery? I am sick of not knowing if it is just a bad esc or a bad motor....

so just a thought.... currently I am using ppm... so when I plug in the battery with just esc one hooked up to power the naze32 there is no beeping just a quick 3 pitch sound from high to low and the green light on naze32 is doing a weird flash pattern.. when I continue to plug in the other 3 one at a time there is beeping and sound but those play the sound low to high like they are ready and working and the naze32 green light is a consistent flash... would this in itself mean the esc 1 is not working properly and needs to be replaced?

lol sorry for all these posts... but now I am really stumped.... so after watching that video i just posted... I have an extra d4r-ii handy... I hooked up a battery to the ESC that I thought was bad and then to a motor... I ended up binding my taranis to the d4r-ii and they work perfect.. i followed the exact steps to the video i posted above and calibrated the ESC to bheli... but now the big question... why in the hell was this motor not working when hooked up to naze32??? and the other 3 motors were... I am completely lost... I guess what I am going to do is calibrate all 4 esc's using this video, re-attach the pos and neg wires to esc's 2,3,4 and try everything without ppm... I will post my outcome after all of this. Thanks for all the input GJH105775 and let me know what you think of all this please thanks much!

You can use the 3 pin molex connector right into the receiver haha

So I calibrated each ESC individually using the video i posted above and all went well with that. Because I don't have a breakout cable from my d4r-ii to the naze32 I still used the jumper on 3/4 of the d4r-ii and only used all 3 wires from ESC1 and only the signal wire on ESC's 2,3, and 4. I proceeded to go into cleanflight and calibrated all the motors together. BUT AGAIN!!! when I click on each individual motor and use the up arrow I can see that motor 1 kicks in at 56, 2 at 28, 3 at 26, and 4 at 26.... why the hell is ESC 1 so delayed!!??? I have tried 2 ESCs now in that place... is it something to do with using PPM maybe?? I dont have the breakout harness but Mabye I will just slap something together to try it out and see... I cant think of anything else to do... please help if anyone has any ideas!!

well i have tried everything i can think of now and still the same problem.... I made up a harness to connect the d4r-ii to the naze32. ground, positive, and 1 wire on Rx to ground, positive, and 1 on naze, 2 to 2, 3 to 3, and 4 to 4. On the naze32 I left the positive and ground only on ESC1 servo to power the board while 2,3,4 just have signal wire, do i need to try and hook up ground and positive to servo 2,3,4 as well?? I think the last time I tried that I fried the first naze32 board I had lol... I am so lost now.. and part of me thinks its just the stupid ESC!! the only thing I can think of is to wait for the new ESC's from china and try a different one... I have seen that other people on forums were having issues with these same ESC's... is there a different brand 12a that anyone would recommend or any other suggestions?? Thanks in advance... lol

@ GJH105775, I am pretty sure you were correct in that this 1 ESC has slow start enabled... how do I go about changing that with this type of ESC? this is something that has to be done with software I would assume and not in the calibration? thanks in advance!
