    Q450 build ??

You will have to get creative to get a 30 minute flight time using a 450. I don't think you will be able to use the larger lower kv motors and larger props for that requirement on a 450 size quad.

    Help please

Switch your Elevator and Rudder positions in your mappings. Go to the command window in cleanflight and type map and hit enter. This should show you your current mappings. For example if it is this TAER1234 then type map TARE1234 and hit enter. Type save to write to the controller.

    Help 1st build.

Push both sticks to the bottom and point to each other or away from each other for a few seconds. This should arm the motors. Make sure to remove the props before doing this while testing.

It appears like you are not arming. I did not notice the arm light come on. Which fc is that? Is the radio controlling the fc when you have it connected to the computer ok?

    X5C-1 Modes

Probably flight modes. (mode 1 = stable, and mode 2 = manual maybe?) You would be able to notice real quick if the flight characteristics change from one to the other.

    Quadcopter build problem

Are you arming the controller, and have you calibrated the escs?

    Landing

There is prop wash while descending, but it should not be too unstable to bring it down. It's probably just a gain or pid adjustment. What is your setup?

$1,000 Budget !! Please help me build one.

    This guy says he gets 30 minutes with a qav500 setup. "I use a Tattu 6s 8000 Mah 25c with T-motors MN3508 KV 308 with T Motor 13×4 .4 CF props and 45 ESC"

    ESC install

It sounds like they are preflashed with simonk firmware so you should be good to go. There are tools out there to flash to a different firmware like blheli.

    battery

Did you mean 2000 mah? If so... As long as the motors are rated to handle 3 cells you should be good to go. Just know that it will be a bit heavy. I run 2200mah on my 1806 2300kv from time to time, but I like the 1600 mah, and lower much better since its more responsive with the lighter batteries.

Will these meet the 30-40 minute flight time requirement?

You could perform some youtube searching to see different setups, how they fly, and how long the flights times are. Don't forget the flight controller :)

Sure depending on mah, and voltage. One 10000 mah @ 14.8 volts will not run as long as two 6000 mah @ 14.8 volts in parallel. Here is calculation resource. http://www.ecalc.ch

You will also want a high output charger too for larger batteries if you don't have one. I just upgraded mine, and it was one of the best investments that I have made to date :)
