You could have flashed them with the wrong firmware. I read that this was causing all kinds of issues, but I thought it was popping the escs and not the motors. Are your nfet? I made sure when flashing mine that I used the nfet version, and all was good.

You will have to get the 2216 size motors for the 4s voltage since the 2212s are rated 2-3s.

I would be weary of a 700mm frame with plastic arms. I think they would have too much flex, and that would be terrible for filming.
