Drone Autonomously Avoiding Obstacles at 30 MPH

Pretty cool stuff especially since it's open source.

Where to buy the right ESC?

I just noticed the type of battery. I would recommend a lipo not lfp pack.

Where to buy the right ESC?

I prefer opto! http://www.amazon.com/Spider-Series-Brushless-Speed-Control/dp/B00HUBQSJ4 I have been running the 35amp version of these, and they are highly reliable. I think the 25 would apply to your build...

lol @HD! Do you have a motor/prop combination in mind to use on your build?

Why must the few mess it up for us all

We should be talking about builds and flying, not this nonsense!

Why must the few mess it up for us all

I would negotiate to the best of my capabilities. Start a surveillance fund, or whatever it would take to keep my areas flight ready. At least I would know that I did not give up easily. The more I think about this the more angry I get. I have learned that I will let someone know real quick...

Why must the few mess it up for us all

Hate to hear this. Everyone should not be punished for the action of one person. There are smarter ways to deter the ignorant, not just simply ban everyone. I believe that this is the easy way out of a situation that should not have happened. I would argue the point that you should not cause...

Looks like my measurements were correct :) These motors are huge! It looks weird with such large motors. They will not fit the motor mount without modification.

    camera wires

Your thinking is logical, but I was thinking this was a FPV camera, and this is a fully functional on board camera for photography. I would search for the manual from the manufacture, and if I could not find it, I would contact them by either calling them or emailing them. Sorry I don't know...

    Is that a 330mm?

P2 controller hookup and cant get it to arm

You will have to let us know how well that one performs. I have had my eye on it, but have not made the jump just yet. I bet its either something is reversed, or the sticks need to be calibrated like George stated.

    Motor Stator Length

Thanks holtneil! I was hoping that someone would chime in and back me up in that I made a good decision :) This is a new arena for me with the much lower kv motors and larger props.

    Motor Stator Length

I probably should start a build thread :D I already purchased these. http://store.dji.com/product/e1200-standard And then I see these. http://montorc.com/Pulso-U39M-300Kv.aspx I am guessing the sacrifice of the longer stator is stability since I think it would have more torque? The price is...

    Overlapping Props

I may not get to find out now. I just measured and these would extend the existing arms enough to provide about half an inch clearance if my measurements are correct. I already had one so I only needed 3 more. o_O Come on mail!

    FlySky FS i6

Flysky was my first radio in this hobby, and it was not great quality. The worst was it would send my quad spinning out of control to the ground like it had interference no matter where I was flying. I upgraded to a Taranis and that issue went away so I cannot recommend that brand. There are...
