Anyways, sounds like you are supplying power wrong to the ESCs, or you have opto coupled ESCs.

It will, but you have less torque, if the motors can handle the props without burning out then yes, but it will kill your flight times.

Lower KV motors lift more and are more efficient. Higher KV motors are for smaller frames and props, generally pull faster.
