Actual FLIR equipment? That is going to cost a bit, might do some research into that before building around the idea.

    Will this build work?It should

Depends which ones, and what type of flying you are doing, I'd always suggest getting the best you can afford when talking about your anything on propulsion systems.

Cheap, yet good FPV setups to get you started

Might get a bunch of the female XT60 connectors, they are really useful.

    Unexpected Newbie

Me, Mac?? Hahahaha, not unless I have to, though thanks for the laugh. I usually run Linux, I'm afraid that you are limited by whatever your camera can handle. For optimal on a MAC I'd suggest HFS+ or second EXT3, but for your camera and Mac to use I'd suggest FAT32, also remember that your...

Also the BEC may add heat to the ESC, vs OPTO ESCs.

    Will this build work?It should

Quality, the cheaper ones are more likely to fail when closer to specs, and sometimes are over rated on their spec sheet.

    Help assemble drone

Anyways, sounds like you are supplying power wrong to the ESCs, or you have opto coupled ESCs.

    Help assemble drone

Hahaha, I saw that you live in Ohio from moderation tools, I'm sure there are a number of people here to vouch for me being weird maybe, but not creepy hahahaha.

    Need help with parts list

APM is probably your best chance at GPS features with this budget, multiwii is a little cheaper, but a lot harder to setup. Just a guess or example suggestion to go off of: flight controller A Turnigy 9x radio and receiver some 800-980kv motors 20 - 30 amp ESCs (depending on the motors)...

    Will this build work?It should

It will, but you have less torque, if the motors can handle the props without burning out then yes, but it will kill your flight times.

    Will this build work?It should

Lower KV motors lift more and are more efficient. Higher KV motors are for smaller frames and props, generally pull faster.

30*2.2 = 66 and 35*2.2 = 77 so : 35a constant 77a burst The max current of the motors is 10a (which is pretty low for this size motor), 10*4 = 40a, so you are well within your battery's capabilities.

    Will this build work?It should

If you wanted to build a 250 sized quad for some faster flying, it would be cheaper for upkeep on props and everything.
  16. GJH105775

    Will this build work?It should

You would never get off teh ground with 6'' props, for 1000kv motors you need 8''-10'' depending on the motor.
  17. GJH105775

    Will this build work?It should

It would work, be sure to get CW and CCW props, if you wanted your battery could be bigger.

    PIDs and stabilization

Make sure the AUX switch is setup on the Tx.

    PIDs and stabilization

It does, under settings make sure arm is set to sticks (if you don't have the AUX channel connected, if you do set it to AUX) When set to sticks it changes if you move the right stick across the roll channel all left or all right while arming or disarming..
