The AT9 makes this so simple to decipher. And yes the RF portion can be turned off. That said you could probably turn yours off. Look in the manual under 'Trainer'.

Seeing as you are getting a replacement, cut/remove (and tape it) the red lead from the troublesome ESC. The others will provide all the power you need. Leaving only the ground and signal wire plugged into the FC. Try running the quad again, it may just be a problem with the BEC circuit.

Yup. If it smoked I'm afraid you've ruined it. At some point in your modding you got the polarity wrong/crossed or shorted.

I wasn't referring to the use of UBECs. Are the BEC power leads from all 4 ESCs being used?

Are all your BECs connected to the FC?

You sure you got the WiFi version? Does your camera have it's own antenna?

That's a weird test. Unplug the USB cable and get it off the ground. I don't think it matters but how did your Throttle end up on ch 12 ?

6mm? Mine take 5mm, unfortunately the home center generics were too tall, could not screw them down properly.

They do offer a nice vibration dampened mount. Switching to a heavier action camera produces nice smooth video from what I've seen. No spare parts at this time is a bummer though.
