Which model

Hi, I have just joined the forum and am new to quadcopters and deciding which first model to buy, my budget is about £300.00
One thing I really want is long flight time, or a reasonable flight time if I can easily get extra batteries.
I have watched a lot of videos and done a lot of reading.
The Parrot ar drone 2.0 power edition has a time of 36 minutes, but nothing else seems close, I would also like to use a proper radio control instead of smartphone or tablet for operation., any thoughts greatly appreciated, I used to do model ic boats so am pretty familiar with radio control, just not all the operations of how to fly a quadcopter.

Hi ate the parrot is super light thats why it has good flight times , As you want a normal transmitter to fly with is a good idea your learn to fly the right way , the feel is different with a transmitter
Up till mid last year you could get the DJI Phantom 1 which would do most that you want and had a 15 mins flight time not bad for a good sized quad , toy ones are not bad but you cant add to them or change thing easy
so for £300 to get a hobby grade with a transmitter will be harder ,there is this which was a clone of the Phantom 1 , they are not bad , other than that may be look in to building your own , but to get 30 mins flight is going to be hard

I am also new to drones, but not rc gear. I like hubsans. Their inexspensive and spare batteries come cheap. I get about 6 minutes with my x4fpv. It costs 199.99 U.S. funds although I have seen them cheaper at websites that are questionable. I all ways purchase from a reputable dealer.spare batteries for the x4 fpv range anywhere from 8- 14 dollars. This little drone is fantastic it's a little gem for sure. I like the micro size quads as they are less intrusive. I know the video quality is not that of a dji inspire, but if your like me your computer has the necessary software to compensate for quality. Good luck in your purchase .

The one thing I have noticed in Hubsan's plus line is different inputs on the transmitter. When I get my original x4 out it's like old skool more seat of the pants flying, the new plus line acts more like a video drone slower and a lot more easy to fly, this is not a bad thing. But I am a older guy and sometimes get my inputs confused when switching between the two variants. The x4 107c is like a hotrod the 107c+ is more layed back and makes a good video drone. I have had the opportunity to pick Hubsan's brain and they have said that the usb on the new plus line will be used for future upgrades to their software. Hubsans can take a beating to, my grandson has proven that..lol get extra props and batteries

Thanks, i just bought a husban x4 fpv for £99, they didn't have the ordinary x4 in the shop
make sure you get a good set of enloop aa bateries for the Fpv transmitter, they go through the batteries but they are a ton of fun and if you don't like the range of the transmitter you can move the 5.8 ghz antenna on the drone in a vertical fashion. Have fun and enjoy your new drone.
