    Underground Drone Recommendation

Check this out, I think the lower frequencies would be needed if you could penetrate the rock. I think you could add multiple U/S sensors around it to keep the craft off of walls and ceilings, check this video out. It should be opensource:

    Underground Drone Recommendation

Hmmmm, sounds like you would need a caged frame. Also sounds like you are going to have some serious problems getting a signal in there. I'd suggest the smallest possible frame that you can get the battery life you need. What are the characteristics of the cave? Are you going to have...

Low voltage indicators, worth the $$?

Funny that we bring this up today, my quad has a small problem with the ESCs kicking off when I punch the throttle on a lower battery, so it crashed landed today (I was able to drop the throttle and stabilize before hitting the ground) and after a half hour of searching a field the Low voltage...

    prop balancing issue.

What FCB are you using and what firmware? You can test if it balanced regardless.

Low voltage indicators, worth the $$?

On a plane perhaps, but it is not hard to ruin a battery on a quad. Many ESCs have LVC enabled so when you hit a certain voltage your quad will drop from the sky like a rock, and if you are high enough shatter on the ground like glass. As you can see I find low voltage alarms good for a...

    prop balancing issue.

Not too much, depends how far you are off of course.

    prop balancing issue.

Does not make too much difference though I like top just because of the shape. Try very ard to avoid messing up the airfoil shape.

    prop balancing issue.

Depends on what you are doing and flying. On CF props you almost always have to balance no matter the price just about. On smaller plastic, or composite props you don't really bother balancing as the bearings aren't worth the time balancing a prop that might not last 2 minutes of flight...

    First time soldering

If I am doing a three or more wire joint or working with bigger wire I usually take something like 25AWG or pieces off of a stranded wire and wrap the tinned wires or jsut use a tap splice. If I am working on something that is possible going to be pulled I like to use a western union splice...

    prop balancing issue.

Also if he has an iphone or using Stevies firmware then you can balance the motor's hubs with the IMUs.

    Turnigy Tallon v2

I've been watching people get this in a group. Those who have bought it seem to like the first impressions. Hahahaha I love his comments on the weight. Though I think that I really want one now hahahaha

    First time soldering

Sounds like you have gotten some bad advice, or advice on plumbing soldering hahahaha. It is hard to use too little, but easy to use too much. Too much solder can cause bridging of joints, burning of components, peeling PCB, and shorts. Usually a joint with way too much never got soldered...

    ESC's getting HOT

Unplug your motors, and see if you are getting a connection between ground and hot. Polatiry matters as many ESCs use a diode shorted across positive and negative (backwards)as polarity protection.

    Discounts @ Hobbking

I can agree that global is pretty terrible. Before I was experienced in buying I bought a lot of stuff for a build or so and paid a shipping fee over 100$ as I bought from international warehouse and then waited a month after that hahahaha. I live in the US so there were no import fees (in...

Cheap, yet good FPV setups to get you started

I have that receiver working with a 32ch setup, if you are using a 32ch transmitter then you need to get it on the right band as well as the right channel. Also I am running power directly off a 3S LiPo. What part about it is not working?

Just curious, is shooting a bottle rocket from a multi-rotor illegal?

Not sure, but cornell.edu is as trusted as amazon.com. You might have adware inserting popups and ads into random sites? For example ads on Google or Wikipedia?

Just curious, is shooting a bottle rocket from a multi-rotor illegal?

14 CFR 91.15Are you going to be recording it or doing it commercially? If not who would know hahahaha, but unless the video gets attention they would *likely* do nothing. Now if you take the necessary safety precautions then it is perfectly legal, so would discharging a firearm...

which batteries to choose for quad?

Take a look at these, they bl;ow most motors away. http://blog.oscarliang.net/emax-rs2205-2300kv-2600kv-motors/

which batteries to choose for quad?

Yes, but more weight means less flight time and lower quality flight time. Getting two 1200mAh-1800mAh will give you the best of both worlds on most setups where as a 2.2Ah is a little heavier and won't give you much more flight time.
