First flight, damn near lost a finger

One of the nuances of flying FPV is not seeing the whole picture when you are airborne. It isn't like being in an airplane with a pilot seeing on a 180 sweep. It isn't like LOS where there again you have a wide area of visual sweep. One scenario: FPVing while side slipping for a horizontal view...

Anybody here offering Ariel Photography services?

Yes, nice property, however, t might of been prudent for being more salable had the Nuke Cooling towers NOT been included in the montage. At least it wasn't for property around Chernobyl. Lots of vacant land there...

Anybody here offering Ariel Photography services?

Back when the internet was young and domain names were something of question and web sites were rudimentary, I designed web sites and made money. Now I sit back and watch all the business I could of had go to the big firms that do the same thing I did, but for a whole lot less. Competition IS...

    Toy quad obsession / addiction

Flying the toy quad is similar to flying the old jenny of yesteryear as compared to flying an F22. They both fly except the jenny is done by the seat of your pants, the f22 wears the pants and the seat you are in is just for the ride.

    Toy quad obsession / addiction

I've heard that if you leave the batteries in all those quads, they begin to create a positronic brain with BORG like properties. Eventually they WILL all take off without your control and conquer the world. LONG LIVE THE DRONE KING!!!

    Toy quad obsession / addiction

I buy them and a lot of other folk too. I don't call them 'toy' quads like those that build them do. It still takes a skill to fly them. I like just trying to keep them in the air and not chopping down trees like mine tries to do. Build-it-yourself or out-of-the-box, they are still a challenge...

    Blade Nano FPV RTF

What is always interesting about resolution comments like this are they are either halfway or no way. It's like it's a secret like among magicians, they never actually tell you how the trick works. And, isn't that the purpose of this forum in the first place? The forum should be informative not...

Don't you mean miliamps? That's miliamphere hours. I think 3.5 amps is going to blow your socks off.

This one has piqued my interest. Question though, what brand of controller is needed or suggested?

    Mi Drone

Not being entirely sure about this, the camera port might also be used for image downloading even if the camera performs mostly for FPV.

    Mi Drone

Yes, you can plug it into your computer if you leave your computer on even when you're not using it. I bought a USB charging port from Amazon.com and it's designed to provide the same voltage and wattage that your computer USB port does, only that you can plug it into a wall socket. Did you know...

Attached a weight to my drone to drag stick off greenhouse roof

True and it could be as much fun as picking up all the dog poop in the neighborhood with a "PoopsQuad" (Sounds like that name for that Indian in the book Moby Dick). Sorry, that was regarding another weird post.

Attached a weight to my drone to drag stick off greenhouse roof

Depending on the height of course, a broom or a rope could of had the same effect and would be less costly.
